Nethway Hotel

Had an excellent Easter break to the Nethway Hotel Torquay with Edwards coaches The owners Julie and Gary were fantastic hosts, food was amazing, had fabulous entertainment and the rooms were lovely and clean. Bed was very comfy, lovely crisp white sheets and towels, pillows were lovely and cosy too! Couldn't fault a thing. Will definitely go back .

Great location, only a short walk to the sea front. Stayed on an Edwards Coach Trip and it was exceptional value for money. Food good always a choice, fantastic Sunday Lunch and good entertainment. Rooms were basic but very clean and warm, hairdryer in room but no hospitality tray but Tea/coffee/Chocolate available 24 hours by the bar. Staff were lovely and very polite. as was Gary and Julie the owners, always around if you needed them. We even had a High Tea put on for us which was really lovely - although too full from all the other food we had been given earlier to eat very much of it. Would certainly recommend a stay if you are looking for somewhere comfortable and clean and not too far back from the sea front.

Fabulous staff from bottom to top. Basic rooms, clean and fresh. Ideal base for a spot of sightseeing or just a chilled weekend without breaking the bank. Entertainment was great with a free bar. No airs and graces, all welcomed. Choice of meals, something for everyone.

Just returned from the Nethway Hotel after a 5 day holiday with Edwards Coaches. The hotel my only be rated 2 star but the hosts Garry and Julie were excellent. The hotel my be a bit dated in places but the food, which is very important to us, was very good. The 2 waitresses who looked after us were probably the best we have come across in a while, excellent. An excellent hotel for the price you pay.

Absolutely vile, dirty. Felt as though the hosts were doing you a favour by letting you stay. Dirty beds and rooms and disgusting food .The food was bland tasteless and the cheapest options offered. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting Al a Carte but I thought I would get better than school dinners ( cottage pie, sausage n mash) . My advice is to stay away!

We visited this hotel with a coach party for 8 days over Christmas and we had a great time, we were looked after, well fed, and had entertainment every night, Gary and Julie could not do enough for you, the food was lovely and you had plenty of it and the kitchen staff were very hard working and very friendly. Our room was good, beds nice and clean and overall I think everyone enjoyed their stay.

We have just read the previous review. We were in the hotel lounge when the 4 very rude people arrived. The Nethway had arranged a seating plan so everybody had their designated seat near the dance floor. The 4 people were not happy with the seating arrangements and demanded they should be allowed to sit where they wanted. They were abusive and obnoxious towards several members of staff before finally being given a refund and leaving, to the relief of the rest of the guests. As the hotel was full, most guests could use their own bathrooms so there wasn't a problem with the toilets. The new year's eve party was busy, the buffet was great and everybody had a fantastic time.

New Years Eve party was absolutely awful. Over full with no room and very uncomfortable seating. The lady manager was incredibly rude and abusive. Verbally offensive. Ruined our New Years eve. Shabby service and no bathrooms for customers. Only 2 toilets for the patrons. Disgusting.

Hotel is awful poky room shower that trickles no room to put clothes on swing a cat no rooms available to move No Tea/coffee in room even though advert shows you kettle tea/coffee in room -Tea/ Coffee downstairs but dangerous to go up flights of stairs with hot drinks Food bland and cauliflower with everything --bizarre Entetainment hall freezing cold and electric plugged in hanging down wall on an extension lead - where the health and safety!!! Would not recommend staying here
