Mixed feelings on our stay at Sighientu Resort. 🫤 The rooms were light & airy once inside however the hallways were dark & dreary. The bathroom really let the property down with the flimsy door that didn’t open / close correctly, the shower practically right next to the toilet which I didn’t appreciate from a hygiene perspective. 🚿 We were disappointed to not have a balcony, I did articulate this to reception but was advised they were at full capacity that night and to try again in a few days, I went back 2 day’s later and my room was changed which made a huge difference, I want to personally thank the lady on reception that facilitated this she was absolutely splendid and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. 🛌 The pool itself is probably one of the best pools I’ve visited, I’ve been to multiple hotels over the years but this is the very best! Quiet & relaxing, warm water, clean and very well maintained. 🏖️ There was another pool but this was only part of the Spa therefore we wasn’t allowed to use unless we paid for the use of the Spa which seemed a little unfair considering we’d spend such an excessive amount already on the hotel 💆🏽♂️ The evening entertainment was nice however it was geared solely towards Italians, we were probably the only 2 brits in the hotel. 🎶 Food wasn’t great, due to religious reasons we don’t eat Pork however a majority of the dishes contained Pork, the veg & salad assortment is what we generally ate. 🍽️ The bar was great however it wasn’t close to the pool, we had to keep walking upstairs. It might have been nice if there was a bar close to the pool. The cocktails were amazing, I highly recommend the Pina Colada & Berry Colada. 🍹 There isn’t a great deal to do in the surrounding area! If you’re looking to relax and unwind without leaving the resort then this is the hotel for you! 🏝️ The hotel provides a free buss service to Poetto beach daily, a busy beach but lush clear waters… I highly recommend. 🚌 3.5 stars for the hotel 🏨
