Hotel is located about 7 miles from Capital Reef NP and 2-3 miles from Torrey, Utah. There is a gas station and Mexican restaurant (great food) located just across the parking lot from the hotel, adding to the convenience of the location. Check in went smoothly with friendly staff. Room was clean and functional. Rates were reasonable for the location and time period. I have stayed here before and will do so again.

The check in desk clerk is not friendly and does not appear to like her job. It took awhile for her to show up at the desk when I arrived. She didn’t explain where anything was. The room had dirty handprints all over the mirrors and hair in the shower still. The beds were clean and made. It’s an average hotel. No amenities except coffee. The Mountain View and being pretty remote is what you pay for. It’s an okay place to stop off if you want to be near the mountains and national park.
