Loved the idyllic landscape and old world architecture. The staff were friendly and helpful with information. The place seems remote surrounded by the Tuscan countryside, although the town of Sinalunga is just a few minutes drive away. A car is recommended. Towns of Pienza and Montepulciano are only 20-25 minutes drive. The place is in a different world, and that is part of its charm. The reception and rooms are quite spread out, so it will not be a typical hotel experience where you roll your luggage into the elevators or have ice machines down the hall. For me that, that made it even more special, but maybe not for those who prefer a little more western style convenience. That being said, the facilities are surprisingly modern.

Structure in the historic centre of Pienza, from an old monastery, service and top-top reception, should only be equipped with some rooms with a 4-star accessory (kit courtesy, But for the rest, it is a nice place. The swimming pool with a wonderful view, a restaurant with customer service and care at the highest levels (good to all the boys and the owner) even if used for a dish, a fantastic breakfast with so many local products. The concept is to renovate village houses into hotel rooms while providing breakfast and other amenities in another building. The rooms were nice, not great, but I still loved the concept. Shivering while sipping your coffee is not quite a luxury experience. We were here on a bike tour. We have toured throughout Europe and many times in Italy. This is the very first hotel I have ever encountered which charges to store bikes in a garage: 5 euros per bike per night. We were there for 6 days. I could understand if we had e-bikes that needed to be plugged into a power source, but ours were just leaned against the wall - for 5 euros each per night. Also be aware that the pool is off limits unless you are staying in the Palazzo. And the nice outdoor patio, you can only use it if you buy drinks from the bar. Lastly the staff at the front desk were thoroughly disagreeable. It was as if they didn't understand that we were the guests and their job was to welcome and assist us, not that we asked for much more than room keys. Having said that, the restaurant staff were gracious, friendly and accommodating. Again, I loved the concept, but the execution needs some work. Would I stay here again? Nope.

We had our wedding here from 30th June - 1st July. We booked the venue more than 2.5 years in advance and worked with Antonella throughout the entire process. She was amazing to work with and highly recommend having a wedding at the borgo! We rented out the entire property exclusively for ourselves & guests for the weekend. The grounds are so beautiful with views from the entire borgo. The rooms are also very nice with a rustic Tuscan feel. Antonella and the entire Borgo staff worked with us to make our wedding weekend perfect. Last minute, we had to change the dinner location due to rain, and the staff was quick to rearrange all of the tables to inside. I had guests coming up to me saying this was the best wedding they had ever been to. We will be returning to the Borgo for our anniversary!

I wouldn't know how to describe this oasis of peace, located on the magical hills of the Val d'Orcia with a wonderful view of Montepulciano. A place where you can be good, relax and enjoy everything that people and products of the territory can give. Yeah, because Mars' sympathy and kindness make you good and make you feel comfortable. The rest is made by the room, very nice and with a very comfortable bed (this may be the same quality for the coats) and a spacious breakfast! All at no mile, wonderful bread, affected by the place and so many typical sweets really sensational (I can't forget the crostaceous of the cotton apple and the cantuccis, fantastic)! I count more than honestly, I can only advise you this structure if you stop in the area, you will not regret it.

I booked a classic room, not in the main building, But the website did not explain this situation, and the other rooms in the main building are more beautiful, and it feels more advanced, it feels like a hotel. The classic room type is like a homestay, unlike the feeling of a hotel. It is a few steps away from the main building. There are two rooms in the classic room type. There is a public living room. It has to share the living room part with the guests in another room. Although the living room is basically not used... But it is not the feeling of a five-star four-star hotel at all. Although the hotel staff is courteous and the service is very good, I feel not satisfied with this room here, and I don’t attach expectations, because it seems to live in B&B.
