Tateyama Murodo Sanso

Although it is a mountain hut, it has a hot spring, the food and staff are kind, and the air and scenery are great. By my count, I stay at Tateyama Murodo once every three years and continue climbing the mountain. As someone who loves Tateyama, I always feel uncomfortable about the poor connection between Tateyama Electric Railway and JR. Considering the transfer time between Dentetsu Toyama and JR Toyama Station, a 10 minute connection time is just about the limit. Considering the weight of my backpack and the fact that about 10 people will be traveling with me, I always feel anxious about transferring.

Worst. English after Japanese. As a foreigner who can't speak Japanese, I tried to make a reservation over the phone, and although there were spaces available at first, as soon as I told them the name of the person staying, I was told, ``If you're making a reservation on someone else's behalf, tell me that first,'' and ``Where?'' "Are you from another country?" "It would be a problem if I made a reservation on someone else's behalf and someone else came." It may have happened in the past, but even though there are many foreigners who are looking forward to traveling to Japan with the money they have saved through hard work, they have faced severe discrimination. The response is too bad. I called them to make reservation for my client who cannot speak Japanese. They said they have opening so I gave them foreign name, then all the sudden, they started saying, “if you are making reservations for someone else, please tell me that beforehand ” “which country are the clients from?” “It is not acceptable if someone else showed up”. I don't know what happened to them before, but super super rude and racist.

I have seen the autumn leaves of Karasawa several times, but as far as I know, the autumn leaves of Murodo are the most wonderful in terms of scale and color. This time, I was able to appreciate the surrounding autumn leaves from the top of Mt. Tsurugi and the top of Tateyama Sanzan. If my stamina allows, next year I would like to do a luxurious mountaineering trip to admire the autumn leaves while traversing Mt. Dainichi. The lodging facility I used was Kenzanso, and I would like to use it again.

I was reluctant to go to a mountain hut, but I got a private room with a view of Oyama. Oyama can be seen from the public bath, and it was very beautiful as it was renewed. I could see the setting sun from the dining room (dinner at 6:00). If the weather is good, you might be able to see the stars... It's clean and beautiful. The location is good, so it is convenient to go hiking and mountain climbing. Because we walk road of stone pavement from bus terminal for approximately ten minutes, we do not turn suitcase. There was no TV and only one outlet. I think that it is the best inn for mountain hut beginners.
