Okawa is a great ryokan to stay at. They will make sure your stay is very enjoyable and comfortable! We booked two nights with breakfast and dinner and we got a great sized room in traditional Japanese style with futon beds. During dinner and breakfast, they would make up the room for us, either converting it from sitting room to bedroom or back from bedroom to sitting room. There is no bathroom included, only a private toilet and wash stand, but since the nearest onsen is across the street and open from 7 am to 11 pm, we had no problems with that. Entry to all 7 public onsen in Kinosaki is included in your stay. The breakfast and dinner were Japanese style too, very good and enjoyable, even though fish and rice for breakfast are a bit of a switch for us. We really enjoyed our stay and cannot recommend them enough, the Okawa's (a husband and wife) are lovely and so helpful.

The staff were all kind to traveling with two mothers and children, and the rooms were large, making it a very memorable trip. 豊岡から城崎温泉を通り約10kmの場所に立地、円山川に架かる橋を渡ったら右に曲がり円山川沿いの狭い道を抜けると建物が見えてくる。他の方々も書かれている通りバブル期のリゾートマンションの空部屋をホテルとして宿泊者を受け入れている、なので部屋所有のオーナーもおり駐車場にはオーナー名の看板が立っているので駐車場に車を停める時には要注意。建物はフロントや大浴場・客室のあるウェストラドと地下駐車場・客室のあるイーストラドの2棟、建物の古さは否めないが部屋はリニューアルされている。部屋は2人から4人用の和洋室、リゾートマンションなので浴室・トイレ以外にもキッチンが有りかなり広い、wifiはダウン・アップ共に高速度。こうのとり天然温泉と名うった大浴場はウェストラドの地下1階にあるのでイーストラド宿泊者は渡り通路を通って行く必要があり少々手間。大浴場の脱衣場ロッカーは28個、但し昨今の状況から入浴人数を規制する為に1/3はクローズ。浴室の洗い場は6個で立ちシャワーは2個、浴槽は6人程度が入れる、サウナはあるが水風呂はない、尚サウナは昨今の状況下 使用停止となっていた。お湯は温泉、海が近い為に少々塩っぱい。夕食と朝食共に部屋食、夕食はメインの但馬牛の鍋板焼き・豚パイタン鍋と刺身・天ぷら・茶碗蒸し等々、ご飯・朝出し・ムースのデザートが…思っていたよりボリュームがありお腹が一杯になりました。朝食は魚の塩焼き・玉子焼き等々と御飯・あさりの味噌汁、品数はまあまあ。尚、周りにコンビニやスーパーがないのでホテルの食事以外に食べ物や飲み物が必要な場合は予め豊岡のスーパーや途中のコンビニで購入する必要がある。ソフトドリンクやビールの自販機はあるがビールのみ少々値段が高い。
