This was the second stay at FourSide Trier as I was very satisfied the first time!
Unfortunately less this time. As previously announced at the hotel, I suffer from a severe house dust allergy, which wasn't a problem during my last stay. This time the air in my room smelled like carpet when I arrived and it wasn't ventilated.
When I wanted to change rooms at night because of breathing problems, unfortunately no one was available except the night watchman, who couldn't help me. Therefore I had to end my stay early and leave the hotel.
That's a shame because I go to Trier on a business trip every year and this hotel is close to my seminar location.

The hotel is about ten minutes' walk from the bus station, and there is a long tunnel, making transportation very inconvenient. And it is already outside the urban area of Trier (but it is very convenient for self-driving. Therefore, it is not recommended for non-self-driving tourists to live here). There is a river next to it and the natural environment is pretty good. However, considering the traffic and distance from the city, the environment cannot be given high marks.
Room facilities are OK. However, there was a very unpleasant smell outside the window of my room that persisted, making it impossible to open the window. Therefore, sanitation and facilities can only give average scores but not high scores.
Service is mediocre. Attitudes range from good to bad, so an average score is given.

We liked the hotel, it's not in the middle of the action but you can get into the city quickly. We were there for one night. Since there was no air conditioning in the room, we opened the window because otherwise the air would build up very quickly in the room. We were quickly no longer alone in the room and there were spiders and mosquitoes.
But the hotel can't do anything about it. There was also no small refrigerator. Not so bad for an overnight stay.

The breakfast was varied, there was something for every taste. You sat comfortably and at a distance with a view of the Moselle.
The room and bathroom were clean, and the whole house seemed well-kept.

Erg mooi en goed hotel. Wij zijn een dagje luxemburg in geweest dus hebben hier alleen overnacht. Bij het hotel zit een restaurant, bar en veel meer andere dingen.
Kamer waar we overnacht hebben was comfortabel, mooi en schoon. Het hotel heeft dubbele ramen waardoor je het verkeer rondom je amper hoort.
Personeel is vriendelijk en ze kunnen ook Engels met je praten.
Parkeren kan overdenkt bij het hotel.
