Wonderful venue, wonderful food, wonderful service. We hosted our wedding at Lochgreen and have nothing but positive comments to make. Nothing was too much trouble for Kari and the team. Kari answered every question we had and went above and beyond in every way. Absolute dream wedding venue, with our dinner in the Glasshouse overlooking the grounds, it was just spectacular! Our guests were in awe of the location, rooms and food. One guest said: 5 star food, 5 star service, 5 star wedding. We were lucky enough to stay overnight when we had our menu tasting and again at our wedding. we will 100% be back. What a place.

This is a most attractive Country House and it is clear that the owners and management take pride in what it offers. The hotel is a favourite venue for weddings and must offer excellent photo opportunities in the well-tended gardens. Car parking is easy with many spaces on offer. The hotel is some way out of Troon, so it would need a car to visit the town. Our hotel for the previous two nights could not accommodate us for the extra night we decided at short notice to stay in Troon but kindly arranged for us to go to Lochgreen House Hotel. This willing help between hotels is excellent for visitors. An evening conversation with the receptionist at Lochgreen smoothed out the details and it was a pleasure to meet this lady when we checked in the next afternoon. She was most welcoming and helpful and is a credit to the establishment. We had two rooms. Unfortunately, the porter identified room 3 for single occupancy by our granddaughter and room 6 for my wife and me. We later found out that it should have been the other way round, judging by the number of towels and bathrobes in each room. The afternoon scones and tea and the evening meal were both excellent, as was breakfast. Staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly. What a pity on checkout, with different staff to the lady who checked us in, that I was not asked, as is usual, 'was everything alright?'. I would gladly have provided feedback which may have been helpful to the hotel. The lighting in room 6 is most unsatisfactory. Everywhere is dull. The bedside lamps do not afford sufficient light to read. The large bathroom lacks light over the basin ... but, for some reason, the bathroom has a holder on the wall for 5 toothbrushes! The deep bath would benefit from having wall handles to assist getting in and out. Room 3 ('Robert Burns') is next to a Ladies' toilet which was frequently used and kept my granddaughter awake. I would have thought that all bedrooms would be ensuite, so who was using that toilet? Is it the many wedding guests who decided to venture up to the first floor from the designated wedding area ... or was it staff? It's a mystery. The hotel would benefit from having an indoor swimming pool, as The Marine Hotel has, but that is not necessary for a most enjoyable experience, when the staff and the food are so good.. In summary, this is a great hotel and I would return. But, I would not want to be in rooms 3 or 6 again.

Outstanding service - simply first class! Staff are so welcoming and accommodating especially with my elderly parents. They love it here and feel so at home and tell us it’s their favourite place. The staff can’t do enough for them all and help them with all their needs. Food and service fantastic in a beautiful immaculate setting.

This hotel is a wedding venue. There are guest rooms just near the function rooms, and ours was next to the exit route for the band and all their equipment. It was after 1 am when the noise settled down, despite a number of conversations with the overnight staff. The problem was Eiding to put guests not related to the wedding right next to the noise source. I was hoping for a fine country hotel experience, but this is not what we got. The room was certainly spacious and very pleasant, and the food in the restaurant and the rather more sedate event we were attending was good. Breakfast was also nice. All in all, I could only recommend staying here for a wedding, and if you don’t like noise, you should be certain to get a rum as far away as possible from the function room, or better still, I would stay somewhere else. Lastly, although the staff were very polite, it was disappointing that the approach was that as it was a wedding venue, I should’ve known this, and made alternative arrangements. A beautiful area, spoilt by an inability to manage separating guests from the noise.

The character and ambience throughout this wonderful relaxing hotel lives up to it's 5 star rating. We had a wonderful two nights in a massive room with every facility you would desire. On one of the nights we invited 6 of our family to dine with us and we all thought the food was truly sumptious. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. The decor and art on display is of the highest quality and adds to the relaxing a**osphere of this unique hotel whose staff were the pleasantest and most helpful we have experienced in any Scottish establishment. We will certainly be back again, and again and again.

The Lochgreen is excellence - in its fantastic staff - so cheerful, helpful and professional. Rooms are beautiful- elegant and spacious. And if that’s not enough the food they served was indeed‘top notch!’ We were a family of 20, spanning 4 generations, celebrating a special birthday. We could not have wished for better service from booking the event to leaving to go home. Thank you to all at Lochgreen for making this celebration such a success.

We had a wonderful stay at Lochgreen House Hotel. The staff were friendly attentive and welcoming especially Carrie & Claire. A special mention to Donald the barman the service was 5 star. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the afternoon tea in the lounge and the fine-dining experience in the Restaurant. This was definitely 5 star! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway in Scotland. You can request a room with Golf or Sea views.

My daughter’s wedding was held in this wonderful establishment. Never once did we have any concerns with their involvement. From start to finish everything was in place. Truly professional staff through out the hotel. Food was fantastic rooms were bigger than most hotels have to offer and surrounds were just fantastic for photo shoots.
