I tend to choose 4* and above hotels, so I don't stay in Premier Inns often. We live local to this hotel and stayed because of the hot weather. Some of the previous reviews made me worry a little about what to expect - I say ignore them! This is a lovely little Premier Inn. It is above the restaurants, so the ground floor entrance is functional rather than welcoming, as is the reception area - self check in screens and maybe one member of staff about. The room was shades of beige, but clean and tidy and the beds were SO comfortable - we slept like logs, especially with the air con. Plenty of tea and coffee to keep me happy. Breakfast in the morning was good, plenty of drinks, option of hot food and bread / cereals. There were locals coming in just for breakfast. We had a family member meet us for breakfast and staff made her feel very welcome. The staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, even in the heatwave. We left very impressed and my children want to come again! Thank you for looking after us :)

Once again, staff here super friendly, kind, efficient and helpful. We always stay at Premier Inns but this is the best one. Breakfast tables cleaned, smiling staff who notice what you need. Carla cleaned our room and Paulina today was kind and professional, asking us if there was anything we needed. Reception staff absolutely lovely. Stayed in 242, very quiet and peaceful.

Nice room, included brekkie, price. Staff were friendly and checkin is not self service which is brilliant and easy. Location car parking. Asked for freshly cooked eggs... no problem!Stop people smoking in the lobby. I say this every time I go there. Maybe prepare a little less breakfast food in advance. It was a little dry.

I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.I went with my father and when we arrived there was barely any parking room because the parking place is for about 5 shops around the hotel and none reserved for people in the hotel. Then the enterance was tiny and they had a run down vibe to the building and reception had to be placed on 2nd(lift said 1st) floor due to how squashed it was between other businesses. When we entered reception no one was around so we used a machine to check in and then a worker came out.My father asked for a second key card so he could leave the hotel for a smoke and leave me in the room. The worker said children didn't get key cards and that she couldn't do anything however we had received 2 keys when we asked at Honiton premier inn(I would go there again). Then when we went around to our room the halway had a light working and the next not in a pattern until we got to our room.Later that evening in our room the light ,next to my dads bed, had gone upside down when he sat on the bed, which could be dangerous and could mean loose or live wires. That was a SAFETY HAZARD.Then the toilet in our room had poop stains and it stunk. Then the bathroom floor had white powder between the grains of the LVT (plastic wood resembling floor pannels) and the AC controlling device on the wall looked at least 40 years old.As well as breakfast being all you can eat yet terrible food, and the toasters literally took my dad 10 minutes to LIGHTLY toast the bread. My dad also had to take bits of the bacon from his sandwich and put them to the side as they were RAW.We didn't try dinner here so i cant say much about that other than we went down to get something from the vending machine(I'll coment on that in a second) and the AC in the kitchen stopped working, smoking out the entire floor,im surprised no fire alarms went off and also it triggered my asthma, another SAFETY HAZARD. About the vending machine;we got magic stars and a single small mars bar for £3.50!Which I guess is fair as its in a hotel but come on.Then the internet was so bad so it was dispensing (this was a screen vending machine so you cant actually see the snacks being brought out)and it froze and we asked for assistance to a worker who said one minute but she didn't come to help. Then we asked the other worker who was a night worker asked to take a day shift and she said call the number on the vending machine. We did.It was only for businesses. We asked for a refund as we didn't get the snacks and they said we dont own the machines but we can try call the owner. It was closed. They said they'd get us a refund in the morning but we said we had to check out and they said they'd try catxh us before, but in the morning it was different workers. We didn't get a refund in the end.

Great place to live as it in the town centre and so many restaurants around to eat and drink. Even Odeon is next door. Hotel itself is quite nice and clean. really liked the security and the staff who helped us.
