Reviews of Embassy Suites by Hilton Detroit Troy Auburn Hills

This was an absolutely terrible experience. 1) At check-in, they made me wait endlessly. Even though I had pre-paid for my room and arrived after 5 PM local time for check-in, they told me there were no rooms available and to wait until cleaning was finished. It was an absolutely unacceptable check-in experience. 2) At check-out, they charged a parking fee (totaling $30, $15 per night) to my invoice without my knowledge. They simply ended the check-out process, saying they would email the invoice without any explanation. I didn't even have a car or use parking, but I only found out about this after checking out, leaving the location, and returning home. Is it acceptable to charge guests fees without any reason like this? 3) They also made me wait an extremely long time at check-out. Even though I was checking out at 8 AM, there was no one at the front desk. I had to leave quickly, but I was made to wait for tens of minutes until a staff member finally came to the front desk. It was an utterly unacceptable and terrible check-out experience.
