The Cottages at Old Greenwood

Location was a few miles from downtown Truckee but we rented a 3 bedroom “cabin” for a family wedding on the same property. Most of the family answering party also rented cabins on the property. Our 3 bedroom had a full bathroom in each bedroom and then a powder room downstairs in main part of house. The house had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Fireplace, washer dryer, dishwasher , iron and ironing board, hair dryers, fully equipped kitchen. It was the perfect accommodation for our family. The Pavilion, a short walk had a market, swimming pools, playgrounds, restaurant. It was all perfect!!

This is not a cottage, it's a large and substantially built Tahoe home with full garage and long driveway. Rooms are very spacious, and it was perfect for our stay as my son got married at The Timbers at Old Greenwood wedding venue (about a 5 min walk to the venue, gym and swimming pool. The Timbers wedding venue is a stunning location on the edge of the golf course and view of Northstar. It was clean, quiet, spacious and modern, including a nice gas fireplace and bbq on the deck. There are King size beds in each of the bedrooms in the 3 bedroom cottage, and bathrooms(3.5 baths)were nice too. 5 stars

Truly enjoyed our stay at The Cottages. We had a great time and are planning on going back again soon. Would highly recommend staying here.

The cottage was amazing. The neighborhood was very quiet with beautiful views. The beds were so comfortable. Wished we could have stayed longer. We can't wait to return!

Frist time staying here. Cottages are very -- very nice. Fully stocked with everything needed if you plan on cooking. Nice BBQ on deck. Very comfortable beds and furniture. Highly reamend. If your a golfer the golf package is a great deal both courses are very nice. Staff was also very friendly.

comfy in the woods The cottage was nicely furnished, but was not cleaned very well. It had everything you could need. We got snow and that was great to see. Beds were comfy and fireplace was great! Location was great.

We had a wonderful stay in our two bedroom cottages at old Greenwood and they took great care of us. Love the room rooms in the layout of the buildings and the spa tub after skiing was fantastic. This is a great place to base yourself for skiing at Alpine and Palisades and Northstar. The location is great and convenient to all the shops and restaurants in Truckee, but the house was really outfitted nicely and we cooked most nice in looking forward to coming back in the summer for some golf on the Old Greenwood GC.

First, we booked the lodging at The Cottages through Hayden who was very knowledgeable and easy to work with from the get go. He was always available to answer questions and everything he represented was accurate. The cottages are large and have incredible views of the snow converted golf course. The unit itself was beautiful (tastefully decorated with soaring ceilings) and spacious with three bedrooms, each with its own bath. We were a family with parents, grandparents , a kid and a dog and the place was more than spacious enough for all of us. The large kitchen was especially delightful as we ate a few meals at home. The front desk and onsite management was exceptional the few times we needed a hand (once with the garage door sensor and once with the grill igniter battery)… they addressed the issues immediately and were very courteous about it. Finally, the location was perfectly suited for getting to North Star and Truckee and the Cottages offer a shuttle to North Star so you can avoid dealing with finding parking. We cannot say enough great things about our stay and we hope to return in the summer.

Exceptional is the word that comes to mind when I think of our stay here. Our cottage overlooked the 18th fairway and was a three minute walk to the Pavilion (swimming pools (adult and a great kids pool), fitness center, dining, etc...) The Pro Shop is about the same distance with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. They even have a stocked lake to take fly fishing lessons on. The cottages are beautiful, well equipped should you want to prepare your meals, and have indoor parking. It made our short stay feel like a staycation. We will definitely be back for a much longer stay, or should I say staycation.
