Went with my partner. No children. So liked the fact that there was not many facilities there for them so it does not attract and hope it never does those sorts of loud people with noisy screaming kids, that belong at a rough and ready resort in Spain, there was mainly the older generation who want a peaceful and relaxing stay, with no noise, the lifts were small but that's so you couldn't take up your wet inflatables in the lift, we had no balcony, the double room was not the biggest or bathroom, I been in but you don't go on holiday to stay in a hotel room all day. Food was excellent, fresh, every where was spotless, staff were superb, I know we didn't go in peak season but every thing in peak season is going to be under pressure and over crowded and stretched so what do people who go at that time of year expect. People who don't have children should not put up with hearing them screaming. And out of control and parents do nothing theses days to discipline them. And if the hotel does not offer what their kids want then they should enquire before they book. If the hotel is not kid friendly and that is what you want, don't moan that this hotel is not because it is not that sort of place. The beach is on the door step, a pebble beach, to note. I knew that before booking. Friendly place and people and safe. And not many little babies, few school age children. Stayed at the resort, didn't do any trips, just relaxed by the pool and on the beach. Weather hot for the whole two weeks, so was very lucky which always helps, needed some sun, coming from England. First holiday I had since COVID. So deserved it. Went 25 sept for two weeks. Loved it and most certainly be back. Peace and quiet.

We were staying with small kids off-season and we are absolutely satisfied with our stay. The food is excellent, very good selection, tasty, much better than even in some 5 star hotels. The SPA area is excellent and staff there were very nice. Parking available, rooms excellent, clean, comfortable.. We have also received a kids step stool and toilet seat adapter, as well as shampoos and soaps for kids, which pleasantly surprised us. The Maro club for kids deserves special praise and the staff in it is for every recommendation. We owe a special thanks to Eva, Dora, Elena and a guy from the Maro club. Our kids have never had so much fun and brought back so many wonderful memories. 💖💖💖💙 Also, Perisa and others at the reception are very nice... The location of the hotel is excelent👌 All in all, we felt very comfortable and happy at Valamar Meteor Hotel and hope to come again.

Check-in is not happy, both Ctrip and the hotel need to be improved. On Ctrip, can you change the sea view room into a side sea view room? I booked a sea view room, and I can see the road and trees. Standing on the corner of the balcony and sticking your head out, you can see a corner of the sea view. I originally thought that the sea view room displayed by Ctrip was a low-area sea view, and the supreme sea view was a high-area sea view, but it turned out not. It is suggested that Ctrip change the ”sea view room” to ”side sea view”, and ”extreme sea view” can be called ”sea view room”. Second, this is a service provided by a third-party company linked to Ctrip. I booked a double room with a sofa. The hotel said that I booked a family room. Check in, don't need so many beds. Then I ran to the front desk to complain, saying that I would add money to upgrade the sea view room. A small woman wearing glasses at the front desk of the hotel is very hypocritical. She clearly has a vacant room, but repeatedly emphasizes that the room is full, and it is not possible to add money. She just doesn't want to change my room. I opened the Ctrip app and asked her if I should place an order for a sea view room right now? If you can't solve it, please ask your manager to come out. This little woman wearing glasses restarted the operation, and finally added more than 200 RMB to change me to a sea view room. The process was quite uncomfortable. Later, I asked her a few travel questions nearby, but she didn’t answer them at all. She smiled and recommended me a stall with a stall at the door, and asked me where to go for consultation. The little bespectacled woman at the front desk didn't look like a warm Croatian, like a Czech or a Polish. It also emphasized that the room card cannot be lost, and if it is lost, it will pay 10 Euros. The doorman is also a garage guide and valet, and the service is thoughtful, so I like it. Other service staff such as restaurants are quite enthusiastic, but this front desk is annoying. This hotel is more focused on parent-child routes, with multiple swimming pools. I ordered a breakfast and dinner package. The dinner is also a buffet. Drinks need to be ordered separately. There are quite a lot of dinner varieties. The pictures taken by Internet celebrities are beautiful, and my expectations have been raised. The actual scene is not bad, but it is not amazing either.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the beautiful port town of Makarska. This was our first visit to Croatia and this hotel but we will definatley return. The Hotel is exactly as decribed but so much more beautiful than the photos convey. Its nestled in the corner of the port just accross from the main street of restraunts and bars. The staff were welcoming and so helpful in so many ways including advice about trips and excursions. The rooms are spacious and the sea views are spectacular definatley worth it. We had chosen B&B the breakfast was plentiful with an excellent variety, something for everyone. All fresh and constantly replaced. We chose to eat in the restaurant for lunch and dinner a number of times. The restaurant is located at the front of the hotel with the view of the port, they have created privacy but with the beauty of the views. The food was of excellent standard hence us choosing to eat here despite Makarska having a number of beautiful restaurants to choose from. I wish to highlight we never once heard any noise at all from the nightclub. We heard passers by on the odd occasion but nothing disruptive. The party boat does occasionally have loud noise but it is only when docking, this would not in anyway spoil anyones holiday in my opinion and would like to allay any concerns anyone looking at this hotel may have becuase of other reviews. Everyone we spoke to at the hotel all enjoyed their stay and complimented the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
