The owner of the property is very friendly and he even let our driver to take shower. However, just that the location is very far from tourist place. If plan to stay 1 night at the island then the location is ok cos it is near to jetty. if stay for 2 days or more, maybe the location is suitable for 1st night or last night of the trip.

The owner Dim upgraded our stay FOC when he knows we’re from Malaysia. We have a good time chatting during check in, sadly can’t meet him during check out. Everything is superb, the stay, the location.

Dimzel the host is awesome. He is a great guy who does not hesitate to lend us a hand. He cares for every single room and guest because that is his own home business. He offers ride to the port.

I had a wonderful stay at Matraville; Dim was super helpful and friendly, picking me up and dropping me off for my ferries to and from the island, and arranging a private tour of the island for me at short notice, along with advising me with travel options back to Medan airport and then booking my chosen one. It's clear he really cares about his guests having a good stay!
The homestay itself is also lovely, with an excellent view from the balcony, and ambient lighting for the winding down to sleep. It's also only a short walk to very good bars and restaurants (5-15mins depending on your selection), with a good place for breakfast just next door.
Would definitely recommend and return!

Highly recommend staying here! Dimmer (host and owner) is very friendly and helpful! He helped us organise parasailing and jet skiing, gave us advice on what to see/do and food options nearby. Room was big, spacious and clean with nice views of the lake. The area is quiet and very safe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to others!

I really wish to stay longer in this home stay🥹 Toba and his wife are very kind. He always answered my questions and tried to help. He showed me around the restaurant nearby and even helped me find a scooter driver for travelling around here.
The room is tidy and comfortable.
Recommended.

The hotel owner was incredibly friendly; he picked us up from the pier and dropped us back off for free. He also arranged a fantastic driver for a good price, who shared insights about various attractions while driving us around and even took us to some unique, non-touristy Batak spots.
The view from the room was stunning, and the hotel also has direct access to the lake. The room was clean, and it was a lovely touch that the owner left complimentary bananas from his garden in the room.

Located on the edge of the tourist area, it's relatively quiet here. You'll need to walk a bit for food, but that's no issue if you rent a scooter. The room is spacious, air-conditioned, and very clean. The owner even provides pickup and drop-off service at the pier, which is a really thoughtful touch. Highly recommend!
