Punta Piedra Beach Posada

The hotel charged us about 20 Euros more than the quoted final price of our booking with ridiculous excuses about different conversion rates. Our room, 2 Queen Beds Room, was next to the kitchen, which was operating all day to serve the beach, pool and restaurant area. Loud service staff and food smell accompanied us all day long. Towels were worn by use and full of brown spots. Breakfast was included but you only could have one thing, either an omelette or a pancake.

Nice hotel, especially for the price. Right on the ocean with hammocks and beds on the beach to use. It is a little farther from the town of Tulum and the taxis will rip you off, however it is a very nice location. Everyone who works there was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for 5 nights on a solo visit to Mexico. Accommodation was simple yet did the job. Good size bedroom and bed with mosquito netting which is a must. Bathroom small. Lovely patio area which was fab for sitting out on and relaxing after a day exploring or before the start of a day exploring. Could sit and listen to the waves from the beach which was a few steps away. Small pool but handy to have. Nice beach which was a mix of private and public. Hotel private section had some nice hammocks. Would recommend staying the end of the beach as quieter but convenient to get to downtown and the ‘party’ beach.

This was the perfect place to stay for me - it was quiet and had the private beach which not too many people were on. Beach chairs/hammocks were readily available and I didn’t feel unsafe at any point. All the staff were kind and the receptionist Gabriel helped me order a taxi. Lots of families staying here and wasn’t a party vibe. It was easy to get picked up and dropped off here. I walked down to the main Tulum beach area but would recommend hiring a bike instead. Some nice places for dinner right by here. Clean hotel room with good amenities and free breakfast - loved the pineapple and mango juices. A great stay!

The room is adequate. It's very small, clean, quiet and the bed is comfortable. The beach is nice but as a beach walker I was very disappointed that the beach is so small and you can't walk anywhere from here. It looks so close to everything on the map but there are rock formations on the beach and the road is insanely busy to walk anywhere far. Breakfast was adequate, small, no options for change. You get what you get. We stayed for 5 nights. That was too long.

I was very impressed with this hotel! It was a great place for the price and exceeded my expectations. The room we had was the least expensive option and it was still lovely. You’re right on the beach no matter what room you have, the pillows and bedding were way more comfortable than the luxury resort we stayed at in Playa Del Carmen and the included breakfast was made to order instead of continental! This hotel shares the same beach as the trendy new hotel called Azulik which charges at least five times more for their rooms and I cant imagine it’s that much better. Our rooms were on the beach, their rooms are on a cliff side with out sand. You can still go to azulik for drinks at the sunset bar for an epic experience or order food/drinks at their beach club. You definitely need a scooter or ATV to get to the archeological zone or farther down the beach where all the swanky resteraunts are . I wish I ‘d rented one sooner instead of paying for too many cab rides. Overall, I would totally come back here! We even extended our stay one more day we loved it so much. Their pasta on the dinner menu is amazing too!
