Jungle Lodge Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever been to! The place is seriosly like a hidden paradise!! Everything was amazing - food, rooms, pools, service and location - even the parking area is beautiful. We stayed for nine days and would definitely have liked to stayed for longer. During our stay we saw among other birds a tukan, colibris and a few mot-mot birds on the premises. A few days we just didn't leave the hotel just to read, rest and enjoy the atmosphere. The location is convenient for visits to several Mayan sites, the beach and cenotes. The staff had good suggestions on activities and cultural sites in the area. The rooms are immaculate, spacious, the internet was superb, the villas have their own small terraces with plunge pools. Did take several online meetings from the room (and from the private terrace area) and had no problems with the connection. The beds were also very comfortable in our opinion. The restaurant had the best guacamole and aguachile we got on our entire trip (we also went to Merida and Valladolid) for a few days. Breakfast was lovely too with fresh fruit, fresh croissants, great coffee, eggs in anyway you like, oatmeal, pancakes.. The restaurant also prepared some dishes we just asked for (outside of the list!) Overall the place is extremely calm, beautiful and quiet, with very helpful and sympathetic staff. Everyone spoke good English. Highly recommend this place, don't miss out on it if you are looking for something nice and peaceful in this area! Really priceworthy!

The buildings are beautifully crafted modernist mexican style villas with majestic tall rooms and amazing palm trees in the airy bathrooms. The villas are scattered in amongst the jungle with tucans and hummingbirds fluttering for the flowers. As i enjoy swimming I particularly loved the jungle pool with a central lane for swimming and loungelike recesses with benches - surrounded by appropriately Mayan style steps. Good breakfast selection and for dinner particularly the green chili aquachile was exquisite. The best part, however is the friendly staff, with whom we had a great connection with.

We tried different hotels in Quintana Roo, but Jungle Lodge was our favorite. We stayed for a week. The hotel is conveniently located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, so you can get everywhere very quickly. At the same time, the hotel is really quiet with a very relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Everyone is really respectful and attentive. The perfect oasis in the middle of nature! The barkeeper even showed us a Tucan, so we were lucky :) The staff members are super nice and do everything they can to make sure guests have a nice stay. Very good food and drinks, also very helpful recommendations for activities. The room was really comfortable and the shower was amazing. It was a pleasure to get back to the hotel every day. First of all, the place is amazing as it seems. Prices for the villas are very reasonable at the moment and especially the villas are totallly worth it. If you love nature then do not hesitate. Birdlife is prolific and peace as promised will be waiting for you! The main pool is gorgeous, the second one was closed when we were there. The bar and bartender are amazing as well. Then the few things we found were not great. We had not hot water in the morning. Normally not a biggy but as we just were here on a cold night, this was a bit of a letdown. They have no back up power so if electricity fails they cannot do anything. Power failures are ample, especially during storms, so be prepared. No candles in the rooms you make sure you phone is loaded at all times! The food is not great........we found this the biggest let down. The nachos and breakfast are okay and not as expensive as some say (count on 200 MXP for a nice breakfast) but the dinner was not up to standard. If you book this as an alternative for Tulum be prepared for a 45 min/1 hour ride to beach side Tulum......On a final note i found it strange that the doors are made of ply wood.....it is such a classy place otherwise........All in all recommended but know what you are looking for.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the ambiance is very calming and serene. Really could not fault the room or the surroundings. The shower roof has netting so that it feels like you’re showering in the jungle - very special The only letdown was the food, breakfast was excellent but the dinner was not great, especially for the price. Their tomato tartare was like a tin of chopped tomatoes rather than chopped up fresh tomatoes, their grilled veg was meant to come with a special sauce but ours was just covered in oil. The steak was fine but over cooked - we didn’t want to send it back because it took close to an hour to get our food. I would definitely recommend staying here, just not eating dinner here - there are some great local options for food

I'm sorry to say that i had a negative experience at this place. the staff was rude and unprofessional, and that you felt pressure to make a purchase. Additionally, you mentioned that the prices on the website were significantly higher than those on other websites, which raised a red flag for you. also mentioned that the beds were hard and the sheets were cheap, and that the location was inconvenient. It seems that you believe that the management and staff are causing the potential of the place to be wasted. I hope that you are able to find a place that meets your needs and expectations.
