Dos Ceibas Tulum - Feel Good Hotel

Be aware that there is no air conditioning and the rooms are extremely hot other than that inconvenience, the facility is great!

I stayed one week with my mother looking for peace and relaxation. We loved this hotel! Everything from the staff, the secluded feel of the room, the beautiful beach, the whole vibe. The negative reviews seem based on the lack of ‘amenities’. If you want hairdryers and aircon then this isn’t the place for you. But if you want to totally kick back in the evenings after visiting the Cenotes/nature reserve/local beaches, sit on a hammock and read a book listening to the sounds of the ocean and the jungle, watching the lizards and the land crabs and the beautiful birds then book a stay here. It more than lived up to expectations and I would 100 percent recommend to a friend.

There was a possum in my room! I had to move out and they didn’t even refund me! This hotel is incredibly unprofessional, a complete mess. I had an oceanfront room and apparently the roof of the room was damaged, and the animal came in from the roof. I had heard voices for a couple of nights but didn’t think to look for an animal in the room. After I saw it, around 8pm, I had to move out and pay a fortune to another hotel. They told me they would refund me for the 2 nights, they even made me sign a waiver for not posting online, but they haven’t refunded me for 6 months. Such a scam

Everything was amazing, including the accomodation, the beach and the food/drinks. The staff was really nice and helpful, especially Eric. Thank you for everything, we'll definitely come back and we'll also recommend it to our friends and family! ❤️

This was easily one of the worst places we have stayed at, and we have traveled a lot. Including camping without specialised equipment in tropical rainforests. So I would not call myself spoilt. The room was hotter than the outdoors and was perpetually damp and floor was dirty enough to stain the towels brown when stepping into the showers. The lighting in the room was terrible so luckily it was not that visible. Other eco accommodations we have stayed at previously, that did not have Aircons tend to be built with air circulation in mind. This place was not. Despite having three fans on, the air just did not seem to move. We also noted on leaving that the lid of our water jug was covered in black mould. So definitely had not been cleaned either. They also have ceramic water dispensers everywhere ( I assume not cleaned like the jugs) that I saw being filled with plastic 5 gallon water dispenser refills. They could just put those water dispenser out, but they pretend to be eco. Then there is the restaurant bar. The menu was huge and varied, but almost nothing was actually available. It would better if they just printed out a small one page menu of what was actually available. I also could not keep a tab to my room unless I went back to reception to leave my card details again. Instead at that point I opted to not return, so just settled up. In hindsight, I should have abandoned this place after night one and stayed elsewhere. It would have saved myself and my wife numerous fights because as we stepped into our warm room our moods just switched.
