J'ai bien aimer, l'hôtel est juste situé à côté de la gare, et au alentours il ya tout ce qu'il faut comme commodités, le personnel est accueillant et professionnel. J'y retournerais volontier.

This is a wonderful hotel. The staff there are very welcoming and super attentive to anything you might need. The rooms are clean, well appointed and nicely decorated.
The location is great for exploring Turnhout and the area nearby. The buses all come and go from the train station which is next door. It is an easy walk to the Grote Market and all the attractions.
The hotel is in the old train depot. It is a great conversion. The breakfast buffet was super. We were there for two days and they changed it up a bit each day.
This is a very nice hotel. You will enjoy your stay!

Hotel is generally nice, a little loud with the trains passing behind but not too bad. There are complimentary bottles of water and beer in your room which is a nice surprise! I was on the ground floor and heard some room door slamming but this couldn't be helped as its the only way to close the door behind you. Parking is limited about 15 spots and is public so is free from 6pm until 9am but you have to be quick. Otherwise there a paid car park about 2 or 3 minute walk further down the road.

The rooms were spacious, spotless and hadcomfortable beds with beautiful cotton linens. There were lots of towels in the bathroom as well as toiletries for convenience. The room was cleaned daily. The little 'welcome package ' of wine, chocolate, tea, coffee and water were a lovely detail. Breakfast buffet had everything on offer you could want. Its within walking distance of bars, restaurants, bus and train stops. The staff were a credit to this hotel, they were friendly and extremely helpful, and had very good English which was very useful for us. Without any hesitation I'll be back now I've finally found a 'home away from home in Turnhout.

We could not find a hotel in the area late at night. We had a warm welcome at the City Hotel just before midnight without booking beforehand. The staff were very friendly and helpful , we had a nice room overlooking the platform and not very noisy at all. Superb buffet breakfast awaited in the morning. Good value for money as well.

So many reasons to steer clear. Firstly, you can ignore the description on ***********: the rooms are directly next to the platform of a live train station, so very noisy; the paid parking is not on-site but instead in a shared parking lot over the road without proper security; checkout is not at 11:00, and if you want to check out at 11:00 it will cost you EUR 25; and it is not deposit-free, they want EUR 100 deposit as well as your fees upfront. My biggest gripe is that someone at the hotel ignored my *********** 'free to cancel at any time' reservation and instead booked me in as a direct booking. When I asked to cancel under the *********** policy because of the issues above (which only emerged after check-in), I was told I couldn't. We couldn't stay, and they refused to refund us. AVOID AT ALL COST!
