We had a good two night stay at Distinction Mackenzie Country Hotel. It was well located and an easy drive to the attractions of Mount Cook Aotaki. The hotel was also well placed for our subsequent drive to Queenstown. The room was spacious and clean and we enjoyed a comfortable stay.

all was good. except absolutely no drinking water was provided in rooms we had no idea. had 2 kids with us. i asked at recption if can buy some. told all is closed after 8pm plz drink room bathroom tap water its safe to drink. so be prepare after 8pm this place is complete shut down specially if u going with kids.

Location was excellent and the front office manager at the check in counter was very nice in giving us advice on what to do around twizel.

Service from one particular reception staff member was terrible and the young girl behind the bar/front of the restaurant was very rude and had terrible customer service

A very nice town, quiet but convenient for shopping and eating. This hotel is also good. Although the facilities are a bit old (key-locked door), it is quite clean and parking is convenient. It is suitable for friends who drive themselves.

A place to stay for one night after visiting Mount Cook. It is a place that I chose without much thought because there are not many places to stay in this area. It would be helpful to keep this in mind.

Located in the center of the town, it is convenient, sanitary and has very good service. It is recommended to choose this place as a base for exploring Mount Cook.

We booked 3 months in advance. On the day of check-in, we found that there were no rooms available and the price had increased. It might be related to the weekend. Overall, it was OK. The breakfast was very good. The nearby Pukaki Lake is very big and beautiful. You can walk along the lake to Mount Cook. The small lake nearby is very beautiful. The lake water is like the water in Jiuzhaigou. There are many beautiful mushrooms in the forest.

This hotel has simple facilities, the door is very simple and can't be locked, the balcony door can't be locked, and the price is quite expensive

The decoration is old. It mainly receives group guests. The shower water is really small.

The hotel in the rural town of Twizel is OK. It is quiet and nice. But there are many Indians. Everything else is OK. It is cheaper than Tekapo area.

The external environment is good, but the indoor facilities are old. The sound insulation is not very good, and the fan in the bathroom next door is so loud that I can't fall asleep. Fortunately, most of the people staying that day were Chinese, so we communicated directly. It is worth praising that the front desk lady was very enthusiastic and moved us from the second floor to the first floor because we had a large suitcase.
