Tynset Hotels with Bar

I came to this hotel for a one night sleepover. This was a business trip. Before I came I had talked to one of the staff members on the phone, and my impression was good. I was looking forward to a night here. We had booked 2 rooms. At the day of the arrival, there was some changes so I stopped by the hotel around 11am to let them know we would only need one room, so that if someone came in they could get our room (the hotel was fully booked). I did not expect us to get to cancel unless some one else came and took the room, but I would just let them know. So I went in to the reception, where the female receptionist was on the phone. I waited for here to finish the call. When she finished, she barely acknowledged my existence, so I asked what I came to ask. She was so rude, said there cacelation policy was 24 hours before so no way. I said I knew that, I just wanted to let them know that IF someone where to come in, we wouldn’t need the room (win-win). Here phone rang again, without even looking at me she answered, mubmled something about that she would make a note, and went back to the phone call. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel (and I have been traveling a fair bit in my life). If it hadn’t been for the fact that I had some business to do, I would have gone straight back home to Oslo. Having to go back to that hotel in the evening was not something I wanted to do! At checkout the next day she didn’t even look at me. Nice person to have working in a reception at a hotel! I would have given the hotel 1 star, but my room was nice and big. And the other receptionist was actually a nice guy. But, the whole experience with the first one drag down my whole impression. If you want to feel welcome at a hotel, stay away from this on (unless you can stay clear of this women!)
