Taj Aravali Resort & Spa Udaipur

We chose Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur specifically to celebrate our anniversary, but the experience turned out to be disappointing. Before arrival, we had written via email requesting a complimentary upgrade (only if possible) and shared that it was our anniversary. The hotel assured us that they would do their best, mentioning that they would decorate the room and arrange a cake. However, upon arrival, there was nothing prepared. Later in the evening, a staff member came and asked when we would be going out so that they could decorate the room. We adjusted our plans and gave them time, hoping it would make the occasion special for my wife and child. Unfortunately, even after that, no proper arrangement was done and there was no cake as promised in the email. The location is quite far from the main city, making it less convenient. The property also did not feel very photogenic as expected. Food quality was average with limited variety. During breakfast, the restaurant staff was largely inattentive — no one checked on us or asked if our child needed anything. The only exception was Mr. Gulshan and one female staff member who were helpful during dinner. Before this, we stayed for three days at Trident Udaipur, where the service and food quality were excellent, which made this experience feel even more disappointing in comparison. Overall, we chose Taj to make our anniversary special, but it did not meet expectations associated with the Taj brand.

Staff was very polite and helpful.. Sanjana ji made us very comfortable while we were staying Kamal ji *** at the welcome door.. welcomed us very well.. Ms Jeel made the chech in very smooth.

The experience was excellent. Hospitality was great. Will visit again.

my name is arpan jain i booked this resort online on arrival i was upgraded to a cottage by manager hanumant ji ….he was extremely courteous…. then we were escorted to room by sukla… very humble behaviour….she told us everything about property and udaipur….and helped us in checkout also both of these staff are very kind…. i liked the stay because of them

Extremely disappointed with our experience at Taj Aravali, Udaipur. We checked in today for a five-night family vacation expecting the level of quality, cleanliness, and service associated with the Taj brand. Unfortunately, the room condition is far below expectations and honestly does not even meet what one would expect from a standard 3-star property. The issues we encountered immediately upon check-in include: • The shower fixture is loose and literally hanging by threads. • The electric kettle was extremely dirty. We personally cleaned it three times, yet the dust and dirt buildup could not be removed completely. • The kettle was replaced by housekeeping, but the replacement was in a similarly poor condition. • The refrigerator is not functioning. • Paint is chipping and peeling off the walls. • The carpet is heavily stained and appears very dirty. • There were hairs present in the shower area, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene perspective. What is even more disappointing is the response from the hotel team. We raised these concerns promptly, expecting immediate corrective action or a room change. However, our concerns have not been taken seriously, and we have not received the level of support or resolution one would expect from a luxury hospitality brand. For a property carrying the Taj name and charging premium rates, basic room maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service should not be compromised. This experience has left us questioning the standards being maintained at Taj Aravali. We sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves both housekeeping standards and guest grievance handling, as the current experience is not reflective of the reputation that Taj Hotels have built over the years. :::

Loved the experience. Decent food and lovely service by Dibya in the restaurant. Loved the pool too.
