My wife and i planned a road trip from delhi to Goa and wanted to do it in a leisurely pace . One transit overnight stop was to be Udaipur. Relying on a 4.5 score on trip advisor , from 500+ guests, and swayed by its historic fort like appearance , we picked the amargarh on that basis. On arriving , we soon realised it was a terrible mistake . The rooms, advertised as super deluxe and priced at 11000 plus per night, were lacking advertised amenities eg wifi, air conditioning and no heater to offset that in the winter months. The hotel had no bar and in terms of sift beverages only sprite and miranda were on offer. The restaurant had dirty table cloths and felt more like a road side”dhabba’ than a luxury hotel eatery. The staff appeared very helpless and left me wondering how this place could survive. All I can say, is to avoid booking this one. Despite the pathetic deception othe offering
