Raffles Udaipur

We visited Udaipur in February this year for a leisure trip.To make up for some inconvenience caused at their property, Raffles Udaipur invited us for a special dinner at their property.It was our first time visiting Raffles and we were very excited for it.They sent their bmw car to pick up me and my wife from the Leela jetty,as we were staying in Leela Palace Udaipur for this trip.Their duty ***ager Mr Rohan Thakur came ***** with the driver to pick us up.He wad a nice and friendly person and was always with us during the entire span of time while we were in the car,in the hotel,during the dinner and also dropped us off in the same car in Leela jetty after we completed dinner.This was a very good gesture extended to us and we throughly appreciate it.The car they brought for us was a higher version of bmw,it was spacious and comfortable.We chit chatted with Mr Rohan during the span of the journey as we arrived to Raffles jetty.From there a wooden boat took us to the main Raffles building,which was situated in a island in Udai sagar lake.The view from the lake was surreal and breathtaking and we throughly admired it.Although morning view would have been much more better,we were told.Upon our arrival we were given a nice traditional welcome as we were guided to the main building by multiple Raffles staffs and the duty ***ager Mr Rohan himself.This being the first Raffles opened in India,is massive.They took an entire island to set up the property, with multiple acres of lands filled with gardens spread across the property.Upon arriving at the main wing,we clicked some pictures with Raffles on our background and from there we took a buggy to go to the reception lobby,which was situated at a height and we went through banquet areas and gardens before arriving at the main lobby.The lobby was luxurious and had touches of rajasthani culture as well.We were greeted by their operations ***ager as we were being seated.We explored the lobby area for a while,took some pictures and videos and then the Mr Rohan and their operations ***ager guided us to the place where our dinner was set up.Previously we had thought they arranged our dinner in some restaurant of the hotel but to our surprise they had arranged a private dining experience for us.They decorated a area inside the gardens and lawns with rose petals and lights and set up a beautiful candle light dining setting for the 2 of us which looked mesmerizing.We were shocked,pleased and surprised at the same time.They had also set up a special Chinese menu solely for us and there were also red and white wines to celebrate the occasion. We had to refuse the wines and took diet coke instead as both of us are non alcoholic.The server was also a nice guy and accommodated ***y of our request s including arranging some items which are not in the menu including Golden prawns,a chicken dish,some Indian sweets etc.He also clicked some marvelous pics and videos of us.The food was very tasty and the head chef also check

This resort is located on a beautiful lake, the sunset and sunrise are very nice. The staff was very friendly and quick to help with any requests we had. The dinner had entertainment and good food options for veg and non veg. We will definitely be back

It was a good trip to udaipur I am very happy to be here It feels like I'm in heaven . The ambience and off course the courtesy of staff is great. The wedding locations are do grand. Imsha did a great job with all the hospitality. Will recommend the location for destination.

Absolutely loved our stay here. ***atri , our butler, made our stay utmost comfortable. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. The property is beautiful and amenities are all great. It was such a great family reunion for us that we won’t forget for a long time.

From the moment you enter the Lakeshore Jetty, the service is impeccable. Our experience at Raffles was truly magical. Their attention to every detail can’t be faulted. Highly recommend this beautiful oasis for an escape from reality. Shout out to the lovely butler service from Soumya and Nirmal. The door*** Chandan and the whole team at Raffles Udaipur! Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

My experience with your hotel was extremely average. 1. While booking I was utterly surprised that even after choosing a certain package and promotion (RAFNEW) I will not get the benefits. I was told that the offer has been revoked when I spoke to the guest service and that the same offer can be provided at reduced price if I paid more money. Why even advertise a certain offer on your website and then revoke it when a guest opts for it (also it a bit surprising to hear tha a hotel of your stature has a website section under construction and hence the offer is not valid!). 2. The food at your restaurants is very average and you have a lot of catching up to do with a Taj or an Oberoi. The menu lacks variety and just does not match up in terms of taste. 3. While leaving I was keen to take the French Press coffee filter present in guests' room and was even willing to pay a price for the same. Oddly I was informed by the reception that I cannot take one even if I pay a price for one and that one will be sent over to my home. Guess what I am still waiting! (Do you not offer return gift to your customer while they depart? Well a Taj and Oberoi does - perhaps another area or you to catch up on!)

Just came to Raffles for the dining experience. The property is beautifully located and offers an impeccable view of the udai sagar lake. Special thanks to Bhumika for arranging a last minute reservation at the restaurant. She welcomed us and ensured that we had a great experience. The food at the restaurant was exceptional with great variety of the local cuisine. Thanks to our server Aditya who was friendly , articulate and prompt in his service

We were greeted very well with all the staff. Apaprita helped us explore the property and also she planned my surprise birthday which my husband requested her and food at the long bar was amaaaazing. The stay was overall excellent. Must stay recommended
