Max Safari Villa

Max is taking care of everything. He is a great host, but the Dinner was even better. One of the best we had so far in Lanka.

Really enjoyed our stay here - the family were all very welcoming. The food was wonderful - just too much to eat! We did a 5 hour safari trip which was great and our guide was brilliant at spotting animals and birds for us. Would highly recommend staying here.

We travelled around the country and stayed here for one night. It was such an amazing experience and we learned a lot about Sri lankan culture.. The food was so delicous and tradional. We'll defently come back her!!!

Very friendly and warm-hearted Host. Good rooms, very good breakfast and Dinner. We specially recommend the whole day Safari with Max. He has two Safari Jeeps and offers several Options for a Safari. 10 hours (whole day) includes Snacks, lunch inside the Udawalave National Park and a very good Driver, who knows everything about all the animals, you can See.

We had a cosy stay at Max Vila Safari and fantastic safari organized by Max. Deluxe family suite was spacious, at the entrance there was seating area with TV and then in the other room were 2 big beds. More than enough space for the 4 of us, with our 4 large suitcases. Everything was nice and clean. Max is such a great host and his family is so sweet! Max's mum cooked us delicious lunch on the arrival and Max prepared da tasty BBQ that evening. Prices were so fair, safari was very good price and we had the jeep to ourselves. Meals were very reasonable and we also took transfers with minivan from Mirissa to his home and next day from his home to Ella. As I told you, if I could give you 100 I would, everything was just perfect!

Lovely little chalets - we had the triple which had comfy single and double bed, plenty of space and a great bathroom/shower. Nice veranda out at the front too. The room had both aircon and fan, fridge, mosquito nets. Lovely host and great evening meal at a good price, as others have mentioned. The transfer they arranged was again good value, in line with PickMe prices, and lovely driver who showed us things along the way. Their safari driver is hugely experienced and spots everything! His English wasn’t that confident though so if you want to know more than the basics about the animals, you might want to get a guide too. Highly recommend this place, really good service and one of my favourites of our holiday.

Max was wonderful and arranged an amazing safari and onward travel via the elephant orphanage. The dinner was prepared by his mother and was one of the best on the island. Max’s Safari driver was very patient and took his time which meant we got some wonderful close up experiences with elephants and other animals. The accommodation had air conditioning which was lovely after the Safari.
