Service was excellent. The resort was really beautiful and peaceful. You really feel like you're not even in Malaysia at all! The breakfast was really good! Had a wide selection of western and local delights. And it's ala carte buffet so they cook it whenever you order! Drinks are complimentary in your room. Jeff cellar was amazing but do note there's a dress code and it's set meal and dining will take 2.5hrs. Surprising I was not bitten by any mosquitoes. But the spring water in the room was not hot enough... the pool was a little dirty which I feel can be improved... overall though a very nice experience and will definitely come back again!

Beautiful retreat experience, the weather is cool due to the natural environment. Free entry to the Lost World of Tambun which is surprisingly nice! Food and wine at Jeff’s Cellar is amazing! The Pomelo is also serving wonderful breakfast and awesome fruit juices. Thank you!

An amazing experience all round. We weren’t enjoying Ipoh at all until our check in here. They had a lovely welcome for my girlfriend’s birthday. The facilities are all excellent. It feels like you’re in the jungle at times, monkeys to be seen and beautiful birds. The resort is big enough that it never felt crowded, and the food that we ate was perfect! The villa was comfortable and cleaned twice a day, while the hot tub is a lovely perk and the little pool. Couldn’t recommend this enough as a getaway, where you wouldn’t have to leave until checkout. The only thing I’d say, as an Irishman, is that I thought Jeff’s cellar might have had a better selection of Irish whiskeys. Would return happily.

It was like stepping into heaven on earth, a place of absolute serenity and bliss. The views all round were gorgeous, in every direction we looked. Loved the service as well. The one bad thing: lots of mosquitoes.

The hotel really lives up to its description as an oasis away from the city. I loved how it was located away from the hustle and bustle of the central city area, amidst beautiful nature. The hotel had several unique amenities such as the fish pool, meditation cave and crystal cave which were amazing to be be in. We booked a lake villa which had its own hot tub and private pool, as well as a nice balcony with a scenic view of the lake. All staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, and we also enjoyed dinner at Jeff’s Cellar - a mind-blowing experience with a delicious 10-course menu in a gorgeous 260-million-year-old limestone cave.

Excellent welcome team, friendly reception, respectful buggy drivers & helpful operators. This place was closely to natural with great management & well maintained. There wasn’t anyone to attend us when we arrived at the lobby, have to wait for quite a while for the receptionist to come out. We booked the water villa that comes with hot spring and pool but both were pretty dirty. Have to get the cleaner to come and clean before we use it. One of the Indian pregnant staff at the reception wasn’t very friendly when we requested the buggy services to go back to our room. Overall the ambience was great but the services definitely have room for improvement.

Too many houseflies in the restaurant. May be good to invest in a fly buzzer to control.

We are sorry to hear about your experience in our Pomelo restaurant. We do have insect traps in our restaurant and kitchen, unfortunately this is a yearly occurrence in the whole area of Tambun. In order to minimize the flies, our pest control team does frequent fogging around the restaurant area, apart from that we do place citronella candles on each of the table in restaurant and we also use Serai Wangi repellent spray on our chairs and tables. It does help to minimize the numbers, however since the restaurant is open air concept, we are not able to resolve it completely . We will be looking forward to serve you better in the near future. Superb experience staying at the Banjaran, the service is excellent and every detail is taken care of. Special shoutout to Veron for giving us a tour and explaining in great detail of each facilities. He has went the extra to make our stay comfortable, extremely greatful.
