The staff was super friendly and made the late night check-in very efficient.

All was great. They just need to check on their wifi and TV channels. I missed watching the news. Easy to sort and hope they do.

Friendly and welcoming staff - super helpful and they allowed us to leave our suitcases overnight whilst we went away for a separate tour. Good breakfasts - we requested packed breakfasts for our early starts and they were fab. Room very spacious and the baths and showers were amazing Lovely location, beach access and a quick uber ride to Umhlanga

We loved our few days at Cowrie Cove. Our room was so nicely appointed, and we had a mini-fridge and coffee/tea set/up as well. Easy beach access for nice strolls by the water. Breakfast was wonderful, and there were hot drink options/cookie all day in the kitchen. Short Uber ride to Umhlanga Rock restaurant area. Would definitely return!

This B&B sports 12 good sized to frankly large rooms, in Umhlanga Rocks, around 40 yards from the beach (our bathroom, in #3, was humongous, and beautiful). Hosts are so nice, and tolerated many COVID associated rebooking from us, and others. Grounds have a nice pool, and many cozy nooks for reading. Not many games in house, so bring your own entertainment. Breakfasts are great. Cowrie Cove is over a mile from Umhlanga, and thus over a mile from any eating or shopping establishment. Uber rides are only around 100 Rand round trip—more like 400 R for a round trip for Durban. The area has been hit hard by rains, and the beach has a lot of trash on it. Beach is pretty narrow and steep, too, and it’s hard to walk long distances on it—but that is not this establishments problem.

My partner and I had a fantastic time at this 5 star guesthouse. The place is beautiful, the owner and staff were very welcoming. The trail to the beach was thoughtfully made making the entire experience magical. Would definitely recommend
