We stayed here with 11 people twice as a stopover on the way to/from Austria. We could have stayed a week. The building is beautiful and renovated. New bathrooms, not big but adequate. Very quiet, earplugs were provided on the bedside table. I wasn't sure why. We had half board. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Additional requests were also implemented immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice area with a park where it wasn't boring for the grandchildren either. Unfortunately, there was no time for the wider area.

Also: ja, die Dielen knarzen; ja, die Fenster sind nicht dreifachverglast; ja, die Vögel fangen um 5h morgens an zu zwitschern und Frösche hört man ggf. auch; ja, das Kirchengloeckchen hört man morgens. Wem das nicht recht ist, der sollte nicht in ein ländliches Schloss-Hotel gehen sondern in einer dieser Schuhschachtel-Hotels absteigen. Also: ja, alle sind hier sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ja, es sind tolle, schön eingerichtete Zimmer, individuell. Es gibt ein qualitativ hochwertiges Frühstück (wie in den Schuhschachtel-Hotels nicht) - und das bis 11 und nicht nur bis 10! Und ja, eine absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen jedenfalls wieder!

Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhing und hat einen großen Park mit Naturpool. Wir konnten fast immer auf der Terrasse frühstücken und zu Abend Essen. Die Qualität des Essens war gut und wir haben auch einige Ausflüge mit den Leihrädern gemacht. Als Standort für Ausflüge in die fränkische Schweiz sehr gut geeignet. Unser Zimmer war dazu auch noch schon groß.

Wir hatten zwei Übernachtungen in einem Standardzimmer mit Halbpension und waren rundherum zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig und doch nahe zur Autobahn, so dass Bamberg schnell und gut erreichbar ist. Es hat einen schönen Park mit vielen alten Bäumen und am Haus genügend Parkplätze. Die Zimmer bieten viel Platz, sind ebenso wie der Rest des Hauses mit Geschmack eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksangebot ist reichhaltig und richtig gut. Das Buffet bietet etwa Birchermüsli, Joghurt, gutes Rührei mit Bacon, gekochte Eier, diversen Aufschnitt und Käse, Lachs, mehrere hausgemachte Marmeladen, Honig vom Imker aus dem Schlosspark, verschiedene Brötchen und Brotsorten, Croissants, Pain au Chocolat sowie Fruchtsäfte, Tee und diverse Kaffeegetränke. Auch die abendlichen Menus waren sehr schmackhaft (z. B.: Hühnerbrühe mit Parmesan-Nockerln und Gemüse-Julienne - fränkisches Schäufele in Biersauce mit Kraut und Klößen - Mousse au Chocolat), und die Auswahl an Weinen und Schlossbieren hat uns sehr überzeugt. Sehr hervorzuheben ist das besonders freundliche und dabei angenehm unprätentiöse Personal sowohl an der Rezeption als auch im Restaurant! Die sehr freundlichen, engagierten Auszubildenden im Restaurantservice werden bestens angeleitet. Es wird uns eine besondere Freude sein, wieder in diesem Hotel zu logieren!
