The dinner at Scandic Uppsala Nord was not tasty at all. Second night we drove to Gränbystaden to eat fast food instead. Rooms are small. When we came to the room the heating had been off so it was super cold. There was no heating in the bathroom so it was freezing to take a shower in the morning. There were no drawers to put clothes in.

Not perfectly isolated window, feel a cold air stream comes into room, although I spoke to receptionist when I discovered this problem, the next day was the same problem without any fix or at least a notice from personal they will fix it, i spent two cold nights.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the dining room also provided a nice dinner which we had the first night. There was a gym which was very adequate. The parking was free and plentiful. The staff were kind, helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was an excellent experience.

I reserved a room with a queen bed. The actual bed was a double and far too narrow for two people to sleep comfortably by American standards. We did not try to fix because we were exhausted. Looks like the hotel would be great for families with small children, but we were a senior couple that really did not matter.

The hotel is quite good, the position is not very strategic respect the center of Uppsala, but the buses are sufficient to cover any distances. Because of the long daylight period, the rooms should have a more efficient darkening system: tents in my ross were too thin to block out sunlight...

Nice hotel with delicious breakfast and free parking. Kids enjoyed sleeping on the bunk beds. Overall very nice hotel for family and good access to public transportation. Free parking and EV charging.

The hotel is a bit dated and probably needs some major renovation soon. However overall, our stay was pleasant and in our expectations with Scandic. The room was clean, though smelled a bit dusty. Bathroom is spacious with a really good shower. The beds were pretty comfortable. So we were to refresh ourselves before we had to continue our journey the next day. Unfortunately too early to have breakfast. Instead we had breakfast box waiting for us at checkout.
While the location of the hotel is not that convenient in order to explore Uppsala, it is great when passing through with an EV as there are plenty of 11kW Mer electrical car chargers in front of the hotel.

East to go downtown by bus…but a good walk of you fel like having such. Good to have such a stay since there’s often free rooms…and the distance from CoT isn’t that long. Also there’s quite good availability to park a car, or even a car with trailer works. Restaurant isn’t bad and I enjoyed fish ‘n chips last stay…although they didn’t serve a stout which was what I needed

Found both plastic garbage and pills under the bed. Could have gone really bad being that I had my dog with me but fortunatelly I found the pills before he did. Also the hallway outside smelled horrible of Sweaty underwear and socks as most guests had left their gym clothes outside their doors, which should not be acceptable.
