Hiyori Hotel Maihama

The room was well-appointed and comfortable, and the bathroom was very spacious, with excellent floor drainage that prevented any water from splashing out. Most of the hotel staff were very friendly, apart from one who seemed a bit unfriendly on the first day but was fine later on. What particularly touched me was when we were checking out; a staff member stopped the departing shuttle bus for us and, braving the rain, helped my daughter, our luggage, and me get on board. I'm truly grateful to her! The breakfast was fantastic. I'd gladly return here if I have the opportunity.

The hygiene and environment were decent. The service and facilities were pretty good, and they even offered ochazuke (rice with tea) in the evenings. The hotel's location isn't great, but they offer a shuttle bus which helps. However, the bus is quite small and can get full, especially on weekends, so you might not always get a seat.

We booked two rooms, and they proactively offered us adjoining rooms. Opening the connecting door made it incredibly convenient. We stayed for three nights, and even days after checking out, we still fondly recall the warmth and touching memories. The attention to detail in their service was excellent, and the value for money was superb. It's not a cold, impersonal hotel, but a warm and welcoming home away from home.
