Reviews of Ürgüp Inn Cave Hotel

Upon checking in, the manager offered to book a hot air balloon ride for 210 euros per person. However, I found the same ride online for only 150 euros, which felt like an overcharge. I strongly recommend not booking the hot air balloon through them. Additionally, the room we booked was uncomfortably hot during the summer, with no fan or air conditioning. The amenities were minimal, and the safe didn’t even work. The breakfast was also disappointing, offering the same limited options every day.

The hotel was clean. Our room was large enough and functional. The staff was friendly. The location of Orelin was in the center of Urgup and transportation was easy. However, the aesthetic appearance of the hotel was poor compared to the surrounding hotels. The breakfast was poor, there was little variety and the food that should have been hot was not hot. The hotel was adequate for its price.

This is little hidden gem, family-owned & -run. Former teacher and local tourism director, the owner-manager Omer is incredibly helpful, honest and professional. We stayed there for 3 nights, in a family duplex at two level. Our couple room is about 20 feet below the ground level while kids' room with two single beds are at the ground level. Perfect temperature. Very clean. Super quiet at night and day. Breakfast was traditional and adequate. Omer helped make all transport and sightseeing arrangements including arrival airport transfer, balloon ride in the national park. The location and its local culture suited us: marketing was not invasive. While a popular tourist town the local economy remains diverse. The Inn is within walking distance from the town center, restaurants, wine bars, a horse museum, cafes, etc. We highly recommend this little hide away.

Situated near the centre of Urgup this is an amazing place to stay. Room was a reasonable size with sleeping area and good bathroom. Good restaurant with generous portions. Terrace and indoor lounge area. TV but Wi Fi was unreliable. Lots of character. Very friendly staff. Worth staying here.

We stayed here for 4 nights in the jacuzzi suite. (it worked great❗️) The owner and staff were very courteous and professional. The resident cat was a little sweetheart. Excellent breakfast and assistance in arranging a small participant all day tour. Easy walking distance to the center of Urgup. We rented a car and parking was no problem. Great location for sight seeing.

The hotel is nice and the rooms we had were spacious . The breakfast was also good. The area is close to the downtown as well. It was a pleasant stay for our family of four adults. Mr. Nair and his staff were very obliging and helpful throughout our stay.

It was an amazing experience to live in a cave hotel. The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was really kind and courteous. We highly recommend this hotel. Our stay was a memorable one even if we went there in winter. The restaurant has a great view and they even lit the chimney as it was really cold. We will definitely be back one day!

It's a great place, they are very welcoming and kind the rooms are very cozy it's like being teleported in the past, I went there with my family,4 people, and all of them liked it. The cats r friendly too they even have names, if you see 1 don't hesitate to play with them. Just a warning don't touch anything on the walls they r very fragile

I highly recommend this Hotel, the staff and very friendly and helpful. We were a group of 12 and everyone loved the experience. What a wonderful experience to stay in the chapel room, so steeped in history. It is literally carved into the cave but still has all modern luxuries to enjoy like the jacuzzi bath. The staff couldn’t be more generous in their time and attention and do everything that they can to make your visit a relaxing and memorable one. Terrific location with everything you might want right there. Breakfast is sensational with wonderful views. Omer is a treasure.

During our holiday in Turkey, we stayed at Cave Hotel Urgup in (capodocia) for two days. What an amazing place it is, we stayed in a room from over 300 years ago that was used as a chapel. It was a place filled with positivity, calm and quiet. In 8 countries which we visited, this was our second favorite place. Thanks to Mr Omer Nair for hosting us (good to hear that his ancestors come from India (Kerala). The crew was very kind and always had a smile on their faces. Special thanks to Ms Pesan (must be the right spelling).. there was another charming man who welcomed us (forgot his name). We hope to return in the future.
