The Oriental Bank Hotel in Istanbul, there are many tourist attractions around the city center, and there are many delicious foods around the hotel. Because it is a hotel converted from a bank, the room is a bit small. , but the snacks provided in the room are delicious.

We were VERY happy with this Marriott property. Within walking distance of all the Old City Sights. Very comfortable and elegant interior. Extremely accommodating and friendly staff. Highly recommended, especially the basement jazz bar and rooftop viewing platform.

Even before we arrived, the Orientbank Hotel was providing great service. I emailed with hotel staff in advance of our trip to arrange car service from the airport, and they were very helpful. Once we arrived, late at night after two long flights, we were greeted at the hotel with such warmth and care. While checking in, I mentioned that we were tired and hungry, as our second flight hadn't served any dinner, and the front desk team put together a bag of sandwiches and snacks for us to take with us to our room. It was such a kind gesture and totally indicative of the quality of service at this hotel. Everytime we came and went, the lobby team asked us how we were and if there was anything we needed. Doors were held open with a smile. I asked for advice on using a kiosk to buy an Istanbulkart, since we wanted to make the most of public transit, and the front desk staff walked me through the process in detail. Everyone here was just so very nice, in a way that felt genuine and lovely. Huge thanks to all of the staff at Orientbank Hotel -- you are all amazing! Our room was on the fourth floor and was generously sized and nicely decorated. Water was provided in the room, which I always appreciate. We were perfectly comfortable and slept very well. In the mornings, we took advantage of the amazing hotel breakfast. The Turkish Breakfast comes with an incredible amount of food, but it was all delicious and offered such a great array of choices. It felt really indulgent and special. We also had dinner at the hotel on our last night there, and it was delicious. Don't miss going up to the rooftop. The view is spectacular. I loved that this hotel was so convenient to every place we wanted to go. It's right around the corner from the Egyptian Market, and just beyond that you can get the tram or the ferry anywhere in Istanbul. We were so glad we chose this hotel, and it made our stay in Istanbul even more memorable. If returning to Istanbul, I would definitely stay here again.

We made a last minute reservation here as we added two days to our trip from Kenya heading home. We stayed Nov 13th -15th, 2023 Taylon greeted us when we check in with a warm welcome and very professional appearance. We shared with him that this was the last part of our 28th anniversary trip and we had almost no knowledge of Turkey or Istanbul. He made some great recommendations for local food, set us up with a sunset cruise down the Bosporus Straight, and an experience at the Turkish Baths. After dinner at the Roof Mezze just a short walk away, we came back for a nightcap. He recommended we take it to their rooftop viewing area. We were immediately blown away by the view up there! Taylon came to check on us and stayed to kindly provide us with additional knowledge of the areas we could see from the view, some details around the mosques and overall knowledge of navigating the next days area for sightseeing. We got up early, ate an amazing egg croissant downstairs and were on our way. Walking from this hotel is easy to see some of the historical structures like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the Basilica Cistern. There was so much more we could have seen, but were limited on time in our short layover window. The evening cruise was breath taking and perfect for our last night overseas. They said they provided snacks and drinks, but honestly it was like a full meal, and we ordered a bottle of Rosé. We walking from the let off to our Turkish Bath experience. We have never experienced this before and thank goodness he booked us for a couples package. I had never been more exfoliated in my life! The massage afterwards was also the perfect way to end our two week adventure. We walk under the bridge back the hotel and stopped at Neptunes for dinner. It was a bit pricey, but the service and food were very good. Lesson learned, be sure to find out how big the portions are, as my wife and I ordered WAY too much food. I felt bad we could not finish it, but that was a lesson learned. When we got back to the hotel, Taylon was there and we shared with him our gratitude for setting these experiences up and our feedback on what an amazing time we had in Istanbul. Upon getting to our room, there was a bottle of red wine and a piece of delicious chocolate cake waiting for us with a not reading “Happy Anniversary”. He really made our day and half there are great one!

We decided to stay at Orientbank b/c it's a Marriott property (using points) and b/c the location is excellent to tour the city. We had debated staying here vs. one of the luxury hotels on the other side of the bridge. However, ultimately we are glad we stayed here as we were able to walk to all the tourist destinations. The hotel is also a couple blocks from the Grand/Spice bazaars. The street location of the hotel threw us off as it's right in the middle of 3 cross streets, though once we got over the initial shock, we loved it. It reminded us a lot of Gringotts (if you are a HP fan). The hotel is very small and actually was converted from a bank. It's also very new (opened only 11 months ago). The bank concept is used in various places and it's a nice touch. The lobby area is spacious with plenty of couches for people ot sit and get checked in or meet people. Lobby is also where breakfast is served - it can get crowded and busy in the mornings. The check in was very easy, Zanieb sat us down, explained the hotel and the surrounding areas. She walked us to our room and explained how the room worked as well. Throughout our stay she remembered our name and was very helpful in helping us understand where to go, whether it was to eat or for my wife to get her hair done (as her straightener had busted). Zaneib was also incredibly helping via email conversations as she helped arrange airport transfers. While everyone at the hotel was helpful, we felt Zanieb went above and beyond in her service and ensuring we had an excellent stay. We had a deluxe room which we were upgraded to from the standard room and still felt it was extremely small. The rooms are european style with the bed taking up most of the space. Luckily we had a small sitting area where we were able to put our large suitcases. The bathroom is also small and right next to the bed. Needless to say, there's no real sound privacy when you are in the bathroom with your significant other in bed. Regardless, this was expected as it's an european style rooms. Plus we were barely in the room except to get ready and sleep so we didn't mind. However, if we had a child with us, the deluxe room wouldn't have been big enough for the 3 of us. While we were there, they were in process of opening up a cigar lounge on the rooftop. Zanieb had offered to show us but we never got the time. The primary/dinner restaurant is in the basement which also functions as a jazz club. On Fri and Sat night they have live music and seem to charge cover. However, I hope cover is not charged to hotel guests. We only visited the restaurant the first night we were there. it was empty but the food was good and the ambience is great. Overall it's a great hotel. The staff is amazing and the location is perfect. I would stay here over any of the large luxury resorts on other side of the bridge.

Read the reviews and please know all the glowing comments are true. A perfect place in the middle of Old Instanbul, the renovated Bank Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel - we spent many hours in the lobby as if it was our living room. The food and drink are wonderful and on Friday and Saturday they have world class jazz. But most importantly the staff are second to none. Our son was in a wheelchair and we needed some help and staff met us half a mile away to help us. They will arrange guide, restaurants etc. It is a unique experience and feels like intimate in such a powerful and amazing city.

My sister and I stayed at the Orientbank Hotel Istanbul for 5 night in March 2022. Wow! What an incredible and special property. What really made our stay over-the-top is the level of service provided and the kindness of the staff. The staff clearly wants you to have the best experience possible during your stay and are eager to help with any needs you have. Upon our evening arrival in Istanbul, I asked for walking directions to a local restaurant and their staff (Samet) was kind enough to walk us to the restaurant and make sure we were able to find a seat at the popular location. Staff helped us find last minute taxis and helped with any of our needs during our stay. Samet also kindly endured a long rooftop photo session as we could not get enough of the incredible rooftop views. One day, I accidentally pressed the no-service button for room service and the staff was gracious about getting our room cleaned in the early evening. Truly incredible and not something you would find at a larger property! After our daily Istanbul adventures, we felt welcomed back to our lovely Istanbul "home" each evening. Beyond the top notch and attentive service, the location is second to none. There are very few hotels in this older area of Istanbul. It is a stone's throw away from the Spice Market and just a short walk to the tram and Galata bridge. It's so much fun staying in this part of town, where you are surrounded by local businesses and not huge hotels. Undeniably, the rooms are quite small. However, that's a small sacrifice to pay for the unbeatable location (and... did I mention.. .the most hospitable staff?). You are smack dab in the heart of the city. It was just the perfect place to stay for our first time in Istanbul. This will be my hotel of choice if I get the chance to travel back to beautiful Istanbul. I'm so glad we opted to stay at the Orientbank and happy it is a Bonvoy property! I honestly cannot recommend it enough!
