Overall, this is a good hotel. The staff is welcoming from the front desk to the housekeeping team and the morning chef, who was helpful & kind every day. We experienced a minor issue upon arrival, but the team apologized promptly and offered a thoughtful gesture that was appreciated. The situation was handled professionally, so it was quickly forgotten.
However, several equipment issues were quite disappointing:
Laundry facilities (the main issue): The washing machines and dryers are either defective or of poor quality. Washing a couple of light items might be fine, but even when following the instructions for a normal load, clothes come out improperly washed or soaking wet. After our initial attempt failed, the staff kindly stepped in to handle it for us. Unfortunately, after leaving it overnight and being informed the next morning that it was ready, we collected our laundry only to find half it completely wet. We had to finish drying everything in our room ourselves. It’s the first time we’ve experienced this in a hotel in China, and it was honestly quite baffling and disappointing.
Hairdryer: The provided hairdryer was very outdated and harsh on hair. While replacing these old units across the hotel would be ideal, I really appreciated that the staff promptly provided a replacement upon request.
Bathroom / Toilet: The motion sensor on the toilet is overly sensitive. It beeps and makes noise continuously, even when simply passing by on the other side of the bathroom door.
In-room TV: The television turned on automatically at full volume with advertisements every single time we entered the room even though we muted or turned off the volume before leaving. By the end of our stay, this became very frustrating.
Regarding breakfast, while there is a good variety of options across most categories, it would be great to see a larger selection of fresh fruit.
A sincere thank you to the staff for their kindness and hospitality, but the hotel definitely needs to address these equipment issues.
