We stayed at the Karol V for 4 nights and we were very impressed with the location, staff and general quality of the hotel. It was easy to find and parking is available. Our room was in the new Roman wing and was light, airy, quiet and very comfortable. We had drinks in the beautiful gardens and dinner in the Bistro, both delightful. The location is perfect for exploring the old town on foot and we didn’t need the car at all. We visited Amsterdam for the day by train which was interesting but very busy. We were glad to return to the tranquility of the Karol V and Utrecht.

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com using my tesco reward points. So I only had to pay taxes. I stayed from Wed-Mon in the middle of July. I was sent the long way around to this hotel by google maps but when I said to the receptionist that I wouldn’t be able to walk that way at night she corrected me and it was only a short climb up the steps to the train station. I arrived at 11am and was just expecting to use the toilet and leave my luggage. But Estella said my room was ready and so I went straight up to the 9 floor. My room was right over the train lines but with the windows shut you did not hear them. A huge bed, lovely shower and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. I needed to get to De Meern to see friends and Estella pointed me in the right direction for a lovely walk which took 60 minutes in the lovely countryside. Breakfast was great and and even though the hotel was full there were no queues for breakfast. Throughout my stay all staff were kind and polite. My only negatives and they are so small was when I asked for more regular coffee reception didn’t have again and the cup holder on the ice machine was nearly always empty. Overall I have had a excellent stay and I will be back.

Nice hotel, decent rates, good bathroom, but really just lacking in information. First off, the hotel is in a mall, and there’s no indication of which doors are open after the mall closes and which aren’t. Google Maps is unaware of that, so if you’re relying on that or a similar service to get you back to the hotel, be aware that will not work, and employees will not provide you with useful information about this unless you ask. For the record, I eventually managed to enter via Catharinje Esplanade. Second, maybe it’s because I visited on a holiday, but there was no front desk or room service late at night, which would be totally fine IF that communication were provided. But there was no indication whatsoever that the supposedly 24 hour room service was not actually 24 hours. Again, certainly don’t begrudge employees a night off. But *management* needs to do a much better job communicating what services are or are not available and when. Don’t promise something your employees can’t deliver. If management would just set realistic expectations and provide a little more useful information, this would be a nice hotel.

The single room in the basement is honest. The air is not very good. It is recommended to ask if the room is underground or upstairs before you check in. The equipment in the room is very complete, there is a hot water bottle, and the capsule coffee machine is great! The location of the hotel is also very good, very close to the central station, behind the canal, particularly lively along the street.

Great location. Close to lots of shops and easy access to the bus services. Off a busy street but room was quiet. Nice sized room with all the basic things you will need. I didn't have the breakfast but it is available for purchase separately and looked quite nice. Overall a lovely stay and would consider it again in the future.

Only steps away from the Utrecht Central Station, this Hampton Inn is extremely convenient if traveling by train. Amsterdam and AMS are about a 30 minute train ride. The hotel is located inside a shopping mall which is very safe and secure. The old canal area, with its many shops, bars, and restaurants are also just a very short walk away. Rooms are typical for this hotel brand, but maybe a bit smaller if you are accustomed to American sized rooms. The free breakfast can be crowded at peek hours. However, the quality of the breakfast is outstanding for a select service hotel.

Perfect stay with our two grandchildren aged 8 and 14! Beautiful, spacious room (2 parts, separated by three quarters of a wall), excellent breakfast and very friendly staff 👍 Beautiful location on the water / canal. Small downside: the hotel could not be reached directly by telephone (in advance), only through an English-speaking intermediary somewhere abroad (who had no knowledge of Moxy Utrecht) and Trip.com was also unable to answer our questions (no Dutch-speaking employee available). But for the rest: TOP, highly recommended

Wij hebben een ontzettend fijn verblijf gehad in dit hotel. Personeel is allemaal bijzonder vriendelijk. De Queenkamer was knus, gezellig en erg schoon. Koffie en thee op de kamer en heerlijke luxe doucheproducten in grote flessen aan de muur (zelfs aan conditioner en bodylotion is gedacht!). Heerlijke comfortabele bedden en warme inrichting. Ontbijt vonden wij heerlijk; ook hierbij was aan alles gedacht en zelfs toen wij ons vergist hadden in de tijd werd alles uit de kast gehaald om het ons toch naar de zin te maken. Het hotel is inderdaad ietwat gehorig maar ik denk ook dat dat veelal met het sociaal gedrag van andere gasten te maken heeft. Als ik midden in de nacht naar mijn hotelkamer ga dan ben ik gewoon stil maar helaas is niet iedereen zo en dan wordt je inderdaad wakker ‘s nachts. Afstand tot centrum is super. Wij zouden zeker nog eens terug komen!

We were in the hotel for 1 day in the course of a city trip. For the short time it was OK. + Hotel a little outside of the center, but for this bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel + parking facilities in the parking house from the hotel (15 €/day) + large shower + bed was comfortable + relatively large room, only cabinets, Freece and safe missed - ＞ here there are still options for improvement + check In went quickly, staff at reception was ok + room was clean - breakfast was not varied (warm food like rooster missed completely) - old eggs were served (The eggs were already gray), it can't be!

Utrecht is not cheap especially hotels near the centraal and old town,but Ibis which is locateda few minutes from centraal offer nice room and good price. Once you arrive at Utrecht Centraal, take bus number 5 from platform D. The hotel is just two stops from Centraal. As this hotel located beside a big road,then some rooms will experience traffic noise,but the noise insulation is quite good except we open the window for some fresh air. The lobby is nice, not too many sitting area, beside the lobby is a huge breakfast room. Surrounding hotel no restaurants or minimarket,so be prepared if you want to return hotel. The breakfast was very good and nice. Enjoy the hot meals and good coffee. Absolutely will return to stay at Ibis Utrecht, location and price make it all.

We made the best decision deciding to stay here for hour weekend away. Hotel outside the rush but the bus is just outside and takes you to Utrecht in 30min. The room was spacious and clean with the most comfortable bed. Everybody were friendly and easy going. Special thanks for the giys at the restaurant. We were served in the most friendliest way ever. The air conditioning in my room hadn't been working for my entire stay (almost two weeks). I reported the problem to the staff, but nobody was able to solve it. I reported it using the form they have on their website and nobody replied to me. I could not sleep two nights because of the heat so I asked to change my room: they told me it was not possible because the hotel was fully booked but on their website there was always a room available... Bad experience with the organization of the laundry service. Backdoor ringbell does not work properly, at any time I wanted to enter the hotel I had wait a couple of minutes to have the door opened. Not good cleaning (dust in the corners of the room). The gym room is too small and not well cleaned and the equipment consist just in a cyclette, a tradmill and an elliptical machine, so no weights or space to workout. I have to wait weeks to have my company's data added to the invoice even I asked for it when I booked my room online. Appartenly the receptionist could not do nothing about it... The only two good things that I noticed is the quiet at night and day, and the nearby bus stop that is directly connected to the city center.

I travelled with a coach party for a weekend stay Fri-Mon. The journey took longer than expected so the coach driver rang the hotel to say we wouldn’t make our slot for dinner at 7pm but we would be there by 7.30. When we got there our dinner was not ready. They brought out some cold starters that were very nice but we had a long wait for the mains. When they did arrive there was very little for a coach party of 45 people. I am a vegetarian and there was nothing for me apart from plain vegetables, chips, dry spaghetti and rice. I complained and was told there would be veggie options the following night. I have no idea if there were any because there was nothing to tell you what each dish was and nobody to ask!! Every night the food ran out quickly and there was no-one around to refill things. The staff were conspicuous by their absence. Based on the food we were offered there is no way this is a 4 star hotel.

Hotel DeBlend is located across from the headquarters of Douwe egberts in a semi-industrial area of town, but was very quiet and very convenient. The air conditioning is a terrible inconvenience just like it appears to be in every other European hotel except for the hunfelt. You are not actually in control of the temperature of your room it just makes it a little more cool for a little more warm. You don't have any real control. We found it got a bit warm at night. It is a primarily self-service hotel, but the instances where we required human assistance, the staff were very kind and accommodating. The kitchen is very convenient feature for anyone staying more than a few days. We highly recommend 2L DeBlend.

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com using my tesco reward points. So I only had to pay taxes. I stayed from Wed-Mon in the middle of July. I was sent the long way around to this hotel by google maps but when I said to the receptionist that I wouldn’t be able to walk that way at night she corrected me and it was only a short climb up the steps to the train station. I arrived at 11am and was just expecting to use the toilet and leave my luggage. But Estella said my room was ready and so I went straight up to the 9 floor. My room was right over the train lines but with the windows shut you did not hear them. A huge bed, lovely shower and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. I needed to get to De Meern to see friends and Estella pointed me in the right direction for a lovely walk which took 60 minutes in the lovely countryside. Breakfast was great and and even though the hotel was full there were no queues for breakfast. Throughout my stay all staff were kind and polite. My only negatives and they are so small was when I asked for more regular coffee reception didn’t have again and the cup holder on the ice machine was nearly always empty. Overall I have had a excellent stay and I will be back.

Only steps away from the Utrecht Central Station, this Hampton Inn is extremely convenient if traveling by train. Amsterdam and AMS are about a 30 minute train ride. The hotel is located inside a shopping mall which is very safe and secure. The old canal area, with its many shops, bars, and restaurants are also just a very short walk away. Rooms are typical for this hotel brand, but maybe a bit smaller if you are accustomed to American sized rooms. The free breakfast can be crowded at peek hours. However, the quality of the breakfast is outstanding for a select service hotel.

For the record, I eventually managed to enter via Catharinje Esplanade. Second, maybe it’s because I visited on a holiday, but there was no front desk or room service late at night, which would be totally fine IF that communication were provided. But there was no indication whatsoever that the supposedly 24 hour room service was not actually 24 hours. Again, certainly don’t begrudge employees a night off. But *management* needs to do a much better job communicating what services are or are not available and when. Don’t promise something your employees can’t deliver. If management would just set realistic expectations and provide a little more useful information, this would be a nice hotel.

It was a nice hotel that I would like to visit Utrecht again to stay at this hotel. It's about 15 minutes walk from Utrecht Central Station, but I didn't personally care about that point because the city itself is easy to walk. (Utrecht attractions are also within walking distance) The room was in the shape of a maisonette and had a deep bathtub. I felt the hotel's commitment to the interior and amenities. Fresh fruit was prepared and breakfast was simple, but it was very delicious. And above all, the hotel staff was very kind. Also, when I visit Utrecht, I would like to stay at ZIES.

We stayed at the Karol V for 4 nights and we were very impressed with the location, staff and general quality of the hotel. It was easy to find and parking is available. Our room was in the new Roman wing and was light, airy, quiet and very comfortable. We had drinks in the beautiful gardens and dinner in the Bistro, both delightful. The location is perfect for exploring the old town on foot and we didn’t need the car at all. We visited Amsterdam for the day by train which was interesting but very busy. We were glad to return to the tranquility of the Karol V and Utrecht.

Hotel DeBlend is located across from the headquarters of Douwe egberts in a semi-industrial area of town, but was very quiet and very convenient. The air conditioning is a terrible inconvenience just like it appears to be in every other European hotel except for the hunfelt. You are not actually in control of the temperature of your room it just makes it a little more cool for a little more warm. You don't have any real control. We found it got a bit warm at night. It is a primarily self-service hotel, but the instances where we required human assistance, the staff were very kind and accommodating. The kitchen is very convenient feature for anyone staying more than a few days. We highly recommend 2L DeBlend.

We were in the hotel for 1 day in the course of a city trip. For the short time it was OK. + Hotel a little outside of the center, but for this bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel + parking facilities in the parking house from the hotel (15 €/day) + large shower + bed was comfortable + relatively large room, only cabinets, Freece and safe missed - ＞ here there are still options for improvement + check In went quickly, staff at reception was ok + room was clean - breakfast was not varied (warm food like rooster missed completely) - old eggs were served (The eggs were already gray), it can't be!

Perfect stay with our two grandchildren aged 8 and 14! Beautiful, spacious room (2 parts, separated by three quarters of a wall), excellent breakfast and very friendly staff 👍 Beautiful location on the water / canal. Small downside: the hotel could not be reached directly by telephone (in advance), only through an English-speaking intermediary somewhere abroad (who had no knowledge of Moxy Utrecht) and Trip.com was also unable to answer our questions (no Dutch-speaking employee available). But for the rest: TOP, highly recommended
