Borgo Scopeto hôtel is probably the only 5 stars hotel in the world, not providing everyday a complimentary bottle of water. I thought it was a mistake, but the reception desk confirmed that was their policy. Even if you finished your bottle the first day , only one bottle of water for 2 days for 2 people when you are paying more than 600 € / day for a room. About the rooms, they are quite bigs, but no real views on Toscano, no balcony. I have been told that we are not in a standard hotel like Hilton which is the truth. If you plan to come to this hotel with your expensive brand new car, forget it, you will get your car covered of dust because the access road is not paved, which will make you feel very uncomfortable. We had diner in this hotel, the food was average and the portions were small. Toscano is beautiful, but forget Borgo Scopeto hotel.

This is the type of hotels that can leave a lasting impression. What is the most important thing in choosing non-urban hotels? This is, of course, the state in which the atmosphere of the place immerses you. It's impeccable service that you don't notice, it's a “welcome drink” served with soul, it's a gourmet breakfast, but it's like at friends' houses, it's quality spa services, it's a rural landscape with a gloss. Relais is in the heart of Tuscany. We only stayed for two days, but it felt like we were there for a week. We will definitely come back!

I was disappointed with this hotel. Initially seems a hotel where you can sleep peaceful.
I found two major inconvenients.
1) This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. My room was large. It had two floors and two rooms in the upper floor. The doors (front door and room doors) has no interior locks!! Or at least I never found it. Been in the middle of nowhere and some rooms having independent entrance (from the main hotel entrance) this was for me a security issue.
2. No air conditioner!!!! I went during the third week of October. Temperature was oscillating between 60s and 70s and the turned off the air conditioner. The room was very warm!!!! When I called they brought two fans and told to us that we could open the windows. Considering that still is not winter and also this hotel is in the middle of rural area where there are a lot of mosquitoes and other insects forget about open the windows!!
On the other hand the staff was nice. The restaurant is a good one. Restaurant staff was also very nice and accessible.
But my personal opinion is that hotel is too expensive and does not filled my expectations. The most near town is Siena and is 15-20 min from there.

WHILE I WAS SLEEPING. Burglars came into the room and stole my jewelry, my clothes and cash. Lawsuit has been filled, no movement, I Cannot trust the establishment. I’m so upset with the company. I really wish that the management team would have handled the claim and worked for a speedy reimbursement. As I was sleeping in the room burglars entered my room and another family and robed us. It was terrifying. And the fact that my lawyers are still battling to close out this settlement. I am missing invaluable family heirlooms, clothes, money and my sanity . What a shame since it was a hotel with beautiful grounds, friendly staff. Here I am battling for decency from the borgo team for justice.

Borgo Scopeto is a true luxury relais. The rooms are beautifully decorated, everything is geared towards relaxation and creature comfort. I have no qualms with its five star rating. It is truly a beautiful property and a wonderful experience.

One of the most memorable stays in Tuscany. The property is absolutely beautiful. Lot of space to walk around, explore and relax. Has two swimming pools with lounging areas and a beautiful bar. Sadly we didn’t have much time to enjoy the places as we were on a driving tour and were out most of the day. Rooms were old fashioned but very comfortable with decent amenities. A few things like creamer or milk for coffee was missing but we didn’t mind. The locker worked on a key which wasn’t very convenient but wasn’t a big deal for us. They served an excellent breakfast and true to the Tuscan fashion with Prosecco and a variety of hot beverages. We had a few dinners at the hotel arranged by the organisers of the tour. Food was excellent and the wine was amazing.

This was not the first time we had stayed here, this is the second time and I can easily say this will not be the last time either. The staff are warm, the rooms large, the setting unbelievable, the food amazing! The servers are awesome especially Christian. The property is great to stroll around, The pools are just amazing. Comfortable beds, huge bathrooms. I would absolutely use this as my go to place in Tuscany

Nice welcome. Rooms small. Couldn’t get cup of coffee before breakfast. Breakfast food sufficient. Dinner menu went for fancy rather than taste. Very expensive and average at best. For the price it was not worth it.

This property has beautiful grounds but is in the middle of nowhere.
The hotel is pretty but good is less than mediocre. If you want to eat in town be prepared to pay 90-110 euros for a taxi for a delicious inexpensive meal in town that is much better than the hotel.
The hotel has no air conditioner although they say they do. The rooms are hot and uncomfortable.
The spa hot tub is cold.
Stay closer to Sienna and skip this hotel.
Water is not complimentary be prepare to pay 9 euros per bottle.
Staff service is mediocre.
