We knew from checking the website that this facility had a recent significant fire. However, we could not tell that the restaurant had burned down and that we would need to go back into town for dinner. The town is delightful, but if we did not have a car, it would have been difficult to bike back after dinner (bike path from town to Auberge is at the side of a busy road). The room was fine. We did have to walk up 1 flight with our luggage to get to it. We noticed the numerous toasters in the hallways, but did not realize until the morning that we needed to bring our breakfast tray back to our rooms to eat and use the toasters (only coffee available was in the room) The fire alarm went off while someone was using our toaster, although it was not clear why. But given the aged wooden construction and recent devastating fire, this was a bit disconcerting. The breakfast itself was adequate but quality left a bit to be desired.

On arrival after riding the P’tit nord trail we were saddened to see the beautiful old hotel was gone ( due to fire in January) . However the little chalet we had was spacious , comfortable and spotless . The breakfast was substantial and tasty with the option to sit outside on our balcony which was nice. The lodging is an easy cycle in to the village centre where there are plenty of dinner options . We were very grateful to the proprietor/owner who went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Although I am sure it was a grand hotel before the fire , the existing chalets make for a very pleasant and comfortable stop along the P’tit de nord trail.

Such a cozy little spot. The room was clean and spacious and charming. Felt like I was at home. Wifi was fast. Fair price. I'd come back anytime.

The room is very comfortable. The temperature in the room was on the high side, and this was just caused by the starter flame from the gas fireplace. I noticed a lot of rooms were using the airconditioning thru the night. I opened the outside door to cool things. Maybe have an electronic fire place starter installed, so the heat from the fireplace only gets in when you need it. Bed was great, Bubble bath excellent. Breakfast great. Overall perfect.

Rooms needed upgrading. Pillows were lumpy, TV didn't work, no desk to sit at to work, the front door is locked after a certain hour, and the breakfast served too late for us to partake.

This was our last stop on our P'Tit Train du Nord vacation. It was 3km off the trail but that was not an issue. Check in was terrific and the lady could not have been more helpful. The room was a little dated, but it was only for sleeping anyway. We had a dinner and breakfast package. The food was good. It was served in a timely manner and was at the right temperatures.
