Best Hotels in Valemount

I drove to Jasper Road and passed by. It was too dark to get up early, and I stayed on the spot. I didn't expect the hotel to be quite clean. At first I just took a nap and didn't report my expectations. After I checked in, I felt that it was quite convenient. This price included breakfast, saving one worry every day.

We chose the hotel mainly because of the cheap price and its location halfway between Canmore and Whistler. Other considerations were free parking and breakfast. The hotel met all our expectations. Starting with ample and free parking for hotel guests. A sufficient breakfast. A very large and spacious room with two large and comfortable beds. In particular, I would like to mention the kind staff, from the reception staff to the breakfast staff. There is free wifi. The hotel, as mentioned, is on the road, in front of the room runs the main road and also a railway. You hear the traffic of the trains and trucks, I don't know if there are rooms facing the other side, if there are and the noise bothers you, you should ask for a room on the quiet side. (We were tired from a day of hiking so the noise didn't bother us).

I arrived home yesterday from a celebration of life for my mother and a burial service for both my parents. I had booked my room on the internet in a hurry as I was busy working two provinces away and was aware that pipeline construction was making it difficult to secure rooms in my hometown. Firstly, on checkin I asked the young lady at the front desk how they could get away with charging 28.75 % taxes and fees over and above the room rate. She explained to me that I booked through a third party therefore the property had no control over my charges. Fair enough. Note to self, pay more attention when booking rooms in the future. My wife and I go up to the room with our luggage and much to our surprise there are holes in the wall from something being removed. There are patches of white paint on the wall. There is nowhere to put our luggage except the floor as there is not even the standard fold out suitcase stand. There is also no closet and not even a coat hook on the wall to hang a dress shirt, dress pants or a dress! I complained first to a young lady at the from desk and then again to a man who was one of the managers. The management team couldn’t even see fit to change our room for us. Saturday morning we got together with family and went back to the room to change for the funeral and they couldn’t even be bothered to clean the room for us. The white patch on the wall was where the closet used to be screwed to the wall. All other rooms had closets except ours. I can deal with slightly older hotels/ motels, but I will never spend another penny at this motel and would highly recommend that others don’t stay in this facility either. There attitude towards their customers once the fee is payed is that they could care less whether you are happy with the level of service or not. I will only bury my folks once and my experience with this motel effected my experience negatively.

The pool was not operational at the time we stayed here, but the room was huge and had a balcony and a jacuzzi. The sheets felt fantastic. Everything was just great. So restful after a very full day on the road. The restaurant is like an upscale pub and food is simple, but delicious. Lobby is beautiful. The distant mountain view to the back is somewhat obscured by trees, but still beautiful. Staff is great, and room is very clean.
