World-class hotel in a World-class historic location with World-class views and World-class service! I wholeheartedly recommend this truly unique, beautiful hotel overlooking Minho River, which is also the border between Portugal and Spain (less than 15 minutes to walk across/above the border on the bridge to Spain ).

Stayed here during our Camino. Beautiful location in the most charming town. Staff so lovely. We inquired about the sunset and later that afternoon, received an unexpected phone call from reception letting us know it was the perfect time to watch the sun set. Lovely cocktails on the veranda with breathtaking views. Breakfast server was kind and attentive and patient with our multiple Coffee requests. Room was spotless. Excellent shower. Highly recommended. Oh, and the hotel manager kindly got us our pilgrim passports.

El sitio esta lleno de encanto, las murallas, la desembocadura del rio Miño, .. todo te transporta a la antiguedad. Sin embargo las camas no son tan comodas como esperabamos por lo que la estancia de un fin de semana nos llego. Echamos de menos un gimnasio y una piscina.

Pousada com uma vista fantástica e com charme. Está dentro da muralha e permite visita ao logo da muralha. Muito bonita. Quartos confortáveis sem serem brilhantes e o pequeno almoço muito bom. Preço algo elevado tendo em conta a realidade local.

Um grupo de três casais passou aqui duas noites muito agradáveis com um jantar. Quartos amplos limpos com o conforto adequado. A esplanada também é agradável. A localização dentro da Fortaleza também é uma mais valia. Recomendamos.

Serviços excelente, quarto de primeira categoria, serviço de bar e restaurante também muito bom com empregados muito atenciosos e disponíveis. Ficamos uma semana, eu e a minha esposa, a pousada está numa localização excepcional, dentro da fortaleza de valença com uma vista fantástica sobre o rio Minho. Muito bom.

La habitación ya estaba pagada pero nos ofrecieron un upgrade a una habitación con vistas, por sólo 20€ y, francamente merece la pena porque la vista es espectacular. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, aunque las camas suenan un poco cuando te mueves. Sólo por el entorno merece la pena aloj**** aquí. El servicio de recepción fue muy agradable en todo momento. En cuanto al desayuno, simplemente correcto porque la calidad de los productos (fiambre, zumos, etc..) no es muy buena. Cenamos aquí también y debo decir que no merece la pena, raciones escasas y calidad regular.
