Casa Clarita

Ignoring the bad reviews on here and thinking I would decide for myself I booked a room here. This was a mistake and I should have listened to the reviews. This place is all style over substance. Everything that could go wrong, did. Couldn't even access the hotel at check in as the front door is locked for 'security' reasons. Then asked for simple things like an iron, extra pillow and after chasing many times, was told I couldn't have them. I sat on the bed while waiting for those items and it was so hard and uncomfortable, like a hostel. An air bnb would have been better as I would have known I wouldn't get the simple 'luxurious' expected of a hotel. I didn't end up staying as the place has a very weird vibe and didn't feel comfortable there. All in all a fail, you live and learn to listen to Trip Advisor reviews.

Casa Clarita is in an amazing location, behind Plaza de La Reina, just steps from the Cathedral, making it a great base to explore the city. The staff were very extremely friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

Booked a superior room for a 7 night stay. So very disappointed with room 19 with its view and noise of trade size kitchen bins, the rear of office buildings and air conditioning units. The hotel photographs don’t show this! Emailed SH Hotels expressing our disappointment but got no response.

We stopped 3 nights in this hotel between 16-19th April 2026 The hotel is siuated 100m from a large square full of restaurants and bars but far enough away to be quiet. We had a view over the street on the 3rd floor with a small balcony, the room was large, extremely clean with a great bathroom and shower. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean, friendly with lovely staff. We had contact with Elisabetta, Paco and Lorena, they were all very professional, polite and really welcoming which added to the already great experience, they are a credit to the hotel.

This was a great hotel! The location was perfect, the rooms were clean and quiet, and the staff were wonderful. The hotel even went above and beyond by providing a complimentary bottle of cava to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a very nice touch and much appreciated.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The decor was really stylish and quirky also our room was very specious. The location was idea literally a three minute walk from the Cathedral and the main square. The staff were charming and so helpful especially Fiamma. I can’t wait to go back. Anne
