Devesa Gardens

Location: Convenient location with easy access to Valencia via bus, beach within 15-minute walk

Animal welfare primarily - it's criminal the way the animals are caged up! Supermarket rarely open and poor stock. Constant bird scaring noise through the night. Poor restaurant opening hours.

We stayed in one of the Ceylan Village bungalows for 4 nights in April 2025. We caught the 25 bus from near the Aquarium in Valencia to the accommodation (for anyone who isn't familiar with the bus system, you can use a debit/credit card as you would in London) - the bus stop is right at the entrance. Reception staff were very helpful, friendly and spoke very good English. There were very few English people at the resort, most of the guests appeared to be Spanish which was a welcome change - a chance to see a bit more of "real Spain". While there is a small supermarket on site, you can also get the bus to El Perelló - the end of the line and it stops directly outside a large Consum supermarket which was great to stock up. The play areas at Devesa were fabulous and our 5 yo and 2 yo absolutely loved the climbing frames / outside soft play area. The water in the pools was a bit too chilly for our kids, but the grown ups loved the water slides. The resort was busier over the weekend but quieter in the week when we were there. Films were put on for the kids in the afternoon and we saw some kids club activities going on but we did not partake in those. The bungalow was great - had everything we needed for a short stay. Would highly recommend the Ceylan Village if looking at options and I booked directly as there was more flexibility on dates than through other booking websites. Great!
