Hostal Antigua Morellana

We wanted a simple, central, family run, clean and friendly hostel/hotel and this is exactly what we got! This hostel is basic but with everything you need. It’s so handy for all of the sights in the old town and the train station/ market. The sisters who run the hostel are friendly and helpful and 24hour reception is great. The coffee and coissants/ cakes were an added bonus in the mornings for a euro per head! We will be back! Thank you

This is such a quaint, cute gem of a place right in the middle of old Valencia. Its family owned, very friendly, clean and safe. My teenage daughter and I stayed here for three nights, and I wish we would have stayed longer! We felt very safe and welcome. The location was perfect, it's surrounded by restaurants and shops. Public transport is about 10 min walk and was very easy to navigate to visit the science center and the beach. We absolutely loved Valencia and I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

I chose this hotel as was taking a friend who had never visited Valencia before and I wanted her to see the typical style of Spain. This hotel certainly hit the mark. Run by 2 sisters and another 2 run the local bakery who supply fresh pastries as a gesture every morning. It is so well sited for adventuring the historic centre of Valencia being close to the central food market and a short walk from Valencia North Station. The owners were charming and informative. The furnishings were basic but pretty (bedspreads etc) and very clean. It has a lift to all floors and they will happily keep baggage for you if you need to keep it somewhere safe pre/post checking in/out. Security is good with access only if you state your name and room number. Thank you to the family for making our stay so enjoyable.

We booked this for a last minute trip to Valencia from nearby Denia. We were very unsure about which location to choose but thought the old town area would likely be a good bet. Reviews for Hostal Antigua were all really good and there was mentions of it being family run, all sounded good. Turns out the location is perfect for exploring the city, the accommodation was very clean, comfortable, welcoming and secure. Upon arrive the welcome was very friendly and helpful and this remained so throughout our stay. We made use of the lounge / reception area for morning tea and pastries (complimentary). Thanks for our stay, we hope to return.

This is a great little family-owned hotel in the perfect location near the central market. It’s a converted family house, so the rooms are of an appropriate size. The sisters were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Part of the charm was finding the hotel in the narrow streets. The entrance is gated and secure. Love this place, will stay again.

What a great find, right in the center of old town. Sonia and Carmen were very accommodating with helping me find my way around the city. It’s lovely to see a family run a lovely hotel. My room was comfortable and spotless. Breakfast is not offered but they are in such a great location you can turn the corner and there are many restaurants and cafes. They have a coffee machine that you can purchase coffee in the morning and their bakery offers a lovely assortment of fresh baked goodies (complimentary).

We recently stayed here for a long weekend. The location is perfect for exploring. You are seconds from the centre, the old town, and busses to the city of arts and science. Run by a friendly and helpful family. Very clean and well looked after. The downside was that our room was extremely noisy. The walls were so thin you could hear other people snoring, going to the bathroom, and their entire conversations. It kept us awake for many hours, every night. It really did feel like we were sharing the room with many more people - one night we were kept up by the nightbours coming back, taking a shower, then packing their entire suitcase. My girlfriend couldn't get to sleep until 3/4am every night which really affected her enjoyment of the holiday as she was so tired every day. It feels a shame to give a low review to such a friendly and convenient hotel but the noise really impacted our stay.

This is an excellent hotel right in the centre of Valencia…although it was only a short walk to the sights, bars & restaurants, the hotel was very quiet at night for a good nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well…which I don’t usually do whilst travelling! The room was large & comfortable, and hotel owners very friendly.
