We stayed for a few nights in August 2023 with our 3 large teenagers and we loved it! The caves were nice and cool with a rustic feel, creative decoration and comfy beds. We found the staff at reception to be very helpful in recommending places to visit near by and we enjoyed the food in the restaurant too, eating far too much and the restaurant staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly. We went out locally a little and found great tapas in Guadix and fantastic walks through woodland trails with waterfalls, up to mountain lakes and with desert viewpoints. Even though our stay was brief, it was a highlight for us and we would certainly recommend it.

When researching where to stay on our stop to visit the Alhambra/Granada I found this place when I expanded my search we chose it because the novelty of staying in a cave sounded like a lot of fun. And it was, I can't recommend this place enough for a fun change of pace. Yes, it's about an hour drive from Granada, but if you're travelling by car it's worth it. Are the caves super fancy with luxurious furnishings? No, not at all. But they're comfortable and cozy. The staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly despite language barriers. Our first morning we had to leave before breakfast and the wonderful staff in the restaurant put something together for us to eat in our rooms head of time. She just kept adding things to the tray. Meats, cheese, bread, fruit, coffee, juice, pastries, etc. It was an exceedingly generous thing to do. Our last night we decided to have dinner in their restaurant and the food was some of the best of the trip. Absolutely outstanding. Try their family recipe goat stew, it was amazing. There's no wi-fi and no TV, but there are donkeys you can watch for entertainment and it was great. This was really a highlight of our 10 day trip and we're so glad we found it, you should really consider it if in the area.

No se realmente por dónde empezar porque esta experiencia ha sido y fue inolvidable y será mi sitio preferido. Todo lo que contiene este lugar es de cuento, un cuento que tenia en sueños y un día tal cúal se convirtió en realidad. Conocí al dueño y su pareja en otro lugar y nos invitaron y no sabia que me esperaba... ahora el haber estado allí solo puedo decir que el lugar es espectacular porque cada cueva es un paraíso en medio del bosque y montañas, con camas mas que cómodas a parte de detalles de lujo como cocina, salón y baño con ducha que nadie ni tiene en casa (hecho con cariño 100% ) y añado donde por fin se puede dormir como un angelito. Menciono dormir como angelito porque hay una paz bajo tierra (cueva) que te deja descansar de verdad. Hoy en día con el estrés que llevamos es un regalo poder descansar de verdad y esto ha conseguido este lugar. Gracias. Gracias también al restaurante que son gente maravillosa con su producto y cariño que también aporta mucho para sentirse tan bien en Tío Tobas. Gracias especialmente a Manolo, Silvia, Alberto y el equipo que logran sentirte así o mejor dicho que te dejan vivir este sueño. Gracias por haberme presentado hasta a tus animales Matilde y etc....y la historia de este lugar porque todo esto en solo un día me llenó el corazón. Mucha Amistad. Verena.

Una pena que esta gente juegue con la ilusión de la gente… fuimos en una fecha muy señalada y nos dieron un menú totalmente nefasto y unas instalaciones que dejaban mucho que desear: canapés duros y fríos y en mal estado, hamburguesas para niños totalmente quemadas, plato principal en mal estado y totalmente congelado. NO PUSIERON CUBIERTOS NI PLATOS INDIVIDUALES VACÍOS PARA SERVIRNOS, pusieron menos asientos de los que íbamos en la mesa, UNA PERSONA ERA CELIACA Y SE ADVIRTIÓ Y PESE A PAGAR POR DICHO MENÚ ESOECIAL NUNCA LO PUSIERON Y ESA PERSONA SE QUEDÓ SIN CENAR EN DICHA FECHA SEÑALADA. Una vergüenza de sitio… no recomiendo para nada este sitio…

El lugar tiene su encanto por el tema de estar alojado en cuevas pero olvídate de tener cobertura dentro de la cueva,tienes que estar pegado a la puerta o fuera. Es muy tranquilo y la limpieza correcta. La comida del restaurante nos pareció regular,pizza fría por el centro,patatas duras y croquetas secas. Personal muy atento y amable en todo momento. Se puede aparcar al lado de tu cueva. El desayuno normalito pero bueno. Comodidad de la cueva mejorable. Se echan de menos rutas de senderismo habilitadas cerca de la zona,las más cercanas están a 30 o 40kms.
