This is a fantastic hotel. The moment you are welcomed in you get a sense of the care people have taken with building this hotel. Everything optimizes the use of space well, is practical, and very nicely laid out. The rooms themselves are very unique and allow for privacy (lower and top levels) and have tons of storage space. Immaculately clean, with all soaps, gels, and hairdryer. Came with 3 bottles of complimentary water. No mini fridge or microwave in these rooms. The communal area and lobby are really set for you to relax and enjoy your time. Oh yeah they have an arcade machine in lobby you can play for free with a friend. When we were stranded for the night and needed to wait at the hotel until 3am for a taxi, the front desk offered a reduced rate for us, gave us blankets to keep warm, toothbrushes, and offered for us to use the shower room. BREAKFAST: This was 13 euros—there are not many options at all in this area for breakfast so it is worth the money if you do not want to eat in Chamonix proper. Selection of toast, pancakes, Jams, honey, cheeses, hot options included scrambled eggs, mushrooms, bacon, sausages. Teas, coffees, granola, cereal, and crescents as well. Overall breakfast was plentiful - only criticism some things could have been warmer. DINNER They have their own herb garden in the back and the dinner we had was exceptional. Never would think hotel made! they locally sourced all their items and specify where. Our waiter Ciel was extremely hospitable—everyone at the hotel tried their best to help us. Drinks were best of trip. The fried rissoto and fresh cod were wonderful. LAUNDRY They have a laundry room: 5 euros for a wash; 3 euros for dryer. These are large machines and we were able to fit two peoples laundry in one. TRANSIT Tourists can get a free day time travel card to use in transits from hotel. Do note if travelling in night bus in Chamonix you will need to play 2 euros. Bus stop right outside hotel and 15 min ride to city Center. It’s the culture of the hotel that stood out to me. I am still at this hotel late in the skiing season from when I was hear previously. The hotel decor is funky and trendy. The hotel communication has been top notch from way before my stay and upon arrival. Special thanks go out to Michel Dubois front desk manager who has been nothing other than first class. If I was in the management of Plan B he would not be a member of staff I would want to see leave. Always cheerful and helpful and has a myriad of knowledge of the local facilities ranging from the best eateries to the best hiking. As to be expected this time of year the best skiing is in the morning and the hotel Is ideally situated by the Chamonix Sud bus stop. The hotel is a five minute walk to the main drag where there is a menagerie of different cuisines. I am mid way through my stay and decided to record what I have experienced thus far.

The location is very good, the facilities are perfect, and the service staff is warm. You can see the opposite of Bronx at the hotel. The hotel's swimming pool water is heated and you can swim in the late autumn season. It is a good choice to live here in Xiamoni.

Hotel Richemond is a beautiful and stylish hotel in the heart of Chamonix which has kept all its charm and original features. It is proudly part of Chamonix’s history and deserves a 5 stars ! If you look for an expensive and unsavoury experience in an hotel group, don’t go. However, if you wish to have a unique and amazing (though affordable) experience, this elegant hotel is for you. A warm and friendly staff, simple but delicious breakfast, comfortable and spacious bedrooms, plenty of reception space and a fantastic location . A perfect recipe to enjoy your holidays whatever your activities: mountain trekking, ski or just a relaxing stay in the heart of Chamonix. The prices are extremely affordable. In addition, the hotel is one of the very few family run hotel left in France. You will have the pleasure to be greeted by the owners themselves. We thank them warmly to be courageous and hardworking enough ( especially after Covid) to continue to share their smile and offer this amazing experience to their clients. The hotel is halfway up the mountain, with great scenery, complete facilities, cleanliness, and high cost performance. You will definitely book this hotel next time you come to ski

Everything about this hotel is one notch less than you expect. We stayed in a Superior Room, and for a 4-Star hotel, I couldn't help but feel disappointed at many little shortcomings. However, overall, we did enjoy our stay. The room and bathrooms are well presented and decorated, but small – just smaller than is comfortable. You have to contort yourself around the door to get into the shower room, and do acrobatics to avoid banging something as you get into the shower. They provide toiletries, but only a combined body-hair gel is provided, the kind that leaves your hair feeling like straw. A full set of clean towels is provided, but with a scratchy and meagre pile. WiFi is also provided, but I found that it was unreliable and slow. I do not believe that the rooms are air-conditioned, which is a major omission for a hotel in a warm climate (during summer). You aren't able to adjust the room temperature; you have to ask for this at reception; but I believe this is an adjustment to the level of heating, not cooling. To be fair, the hotel website did indicate that the rooms come with ”Heating”, but rather cunningly this is paired with an icon of a snowflake, which I must have mistaken at the point of booking to mean that air-conditioning was available. The spa is nice, but the pool is very small and the water is quite cool. There is a jacuzzi area, but it's just bubbles being blown into the same cool water, which isn't that nice an experience. The hotel website describes the spa as offering a ”Steam Room, Sauna and Hammam”. I was curious to discover what the ”Hammam” entailed, but discovered this is just a translation for Steam Room, i.e. they just listed the same facility twice. The Steam Room and Sauna were, however, enjoyable to use. The room we booked included breakfast, but I felt that the breakfast options just were not nice enough to justify the hotel's 4 Stars. The English breakfast options comprised scrambled egg (quite nicely done), but with skinny and shrivelly sausages and bacon. Half tomatoes were also available, but for a proper English beans, mushrooms and/or potatoes were missing. They also offered Continental breakfast options, but the pastries were only of the ”mini” variety, and there was only one kind of cheese available (which was not to my taste). The biggest problem, however, was that flies ran amuck among all these foods, many of which were not covered. To be fair, I have encountered this kind of laissez-faire attitude to flies in many European hotels and restaurants, so it might just be something you have to deal with; but it wouldn't have taken an enormous effort to provide proper coverings for the various foods. None of this spoiled our stay too much, and indeed we enjoyed ourselves, but I would have hoped not to have these little issues given the price. Super super super satisfied hotel, the price is very high, the hotel is clean and tidy, the front desk is very warm, the attitude is good, check in to remind us where the free pool is, remember to go swimming, breakfast is very rich, outdoor parking is free, this season is generally Location, indoor parking is 10 euros a night, the hotel is in a good location, you can see the snow-capped mountains when you look up. It is definitely a pleasure to eat breakfast under the mountain. It is about five or six minutes by car from the cable car in Chamonix town. Gifts for small squirrels, refrigerators in the rooms, and hot water bottles, which are very precious in foreign hotels, haha, especially like the front desk customer service staff, especially a male front desk of about 50, especially cute, not too I have been familiar with English for a long time. In short, I really like this hotel. I highly recommend it.

Stayed for four nights, it was mainly convenient for us to go skiing. The hotel is at Chamonix South Station. The bus to and from Geneva Airport stops at the door. All the buses on the resort are also at the door. Every day, we wear snow shoes and seesaw. It is also convenient. The hotel can rent a board directly on the first floor and walk 5 minutes from the main street in the town. The room is small but adequate, not luxurious, clean, the hotel's overall design is young, the lobby bar has DJ discs every day, especially for drinks. Breakfast is relatively simple and the pool water is cold.

C'et hôtel est situé légèrement à l'écart des rues du centre ville , dans un environnement calme. Le centre ville, commerces et restaurants sont à quelques mètres seulement. La chambre standard avec salle de bain est assez petite et simple. Propre. Bonne literie et oreillers. Elle dispose d'un balcon avec une vue directe magique et magnifique sur le Mont Blanc et l'Aiguille du Midi. Vous pouvez apprécier le coucher du soleil et le lever du jour ! Le petit déjeuner est correct. Le personnel est complaisant. L'hôtel dispose de places de parking très limités donc incertain. Sinon parkings gratuits à proximité avec un peu de chance et de patience et parking payant à 300 m. Les - : L'une des lampes de chevet murale et la petite lampe de lecture ne fonctionnaient pas. L'éclairage de la salle de bain est totalement inadapté pour les messieurs qui veulent se raser. A l'entrée dans la chambre, odeur perceptible de renfermé. Dommage.
