It actually smells like something died in there... and tbh I wouldn't be surprised if something did. My friend and I were just wanting to stay one night... And we didn't even sleep. I also think we saw blood stains on the wall... I'm begging you, do NOT go here. Because I'd rather sleep in a porta-potty nearby.

Another update on this hotel. Once when I was staying there, I came down to the library section and noticed an ambulance and a doctors car parked outside. Later heard that a young guy had taken his own life in one of the rooms, 3rd floor I think. The cleaning staff new me quite well and one of them told me she was the one who found him as she entered his room for housekeeping. Sad. Aside of that, I first heard the Lab Rats playing live here too. Great live music, great food. What else do you need! As I mentioned, this place closed down as a hotel last year, and is now a place where homeless can live, funded by the government.

I’ve stayed at the Patricia several times and each time was served with courtesy. However, I see it’s still being advertised on TripAdvisor for bookings. That’s incorrect, as the hotel was sold off to the council as homes for the needy around 2 years ago. So if you’re looking to book a room here, please choose another nearby hotel. Sad to say the new management haven’t bothered to say so on their website. And so ends and era with the Patricia Hotel…thank you to previous owners Lindsey and Staff…the pub side of the hotel is still open and as far as I know, there’s still live jazz every Thursday and good food!
