Reviews of Vang Vieng Sky Mountain Hotel

Pros: Close to the Vang Vieng morning market. The breakfast offered a good variety of tropical fruits, and you could choose one egg dish. There's a swimming pool, although I didn't use it because it was exposed to direct sunlight all day. The room cleanliness was decent. The water pressure in the shower was good. Cons: The air conditioner had low refrigerant, so I spent a very hot night. Even after a technician came multiple times the next day, the AC still wasn't working properly – the temperature and fan speed couldn't be adjusted, and water kept dripping and spraying out of it, which was quite uncomfortable. The middle of the bed sagged, making it uncomfortable to sleep as I kept rolling towards the center. When I asked the host to arrange transportation to Vang Vieng train station, I was surprised and disappointed when they quoted 75,000 kip per person for a tuk-tuk. While I know nothing in life is free, I felt it was a significant rip-off. I ended up booking a taxi on the street for 50,000 kip per person, so 100,000 kip for two, and it even had air conditioning.

A decent place to stay for a few days close to centre with all the activities around

The hotel name and actual name totally different. We were searching hi and lo on the street and asking hotel opposite and was hown this Victory hotel and even lacasa hotel. No sky mountain name. Hktel without mountain view🤦. However very strategic located within all the very nice restaurants overlooking vanvieng mountain

Great place with views of the mountains, staff very helpful and speak good English, they know every where that you can go and can hook you up on a moment notice 🙏🙏🙏

Not up to standard

The room wasn't too big or too small, enough for one or two people. The only downside was that the bathroom door in my room wouldn't close properly. The location was unbeatable; there was a street just above and stunning mountain views right below.

This hotel has 3 different names, why? Be careful, the photos do not correspond to reality, they have been retouched. This is a hotel that corresponds to the standard of a low-end guest house, moreover this hotel is dilapidated. In the room, there are no free bottles of water as stated in the room description, nor a kettle with coffee sachets or other items. In the bathroom, you will find only 2 small sachets of shower gel and shampoo, not enough to wash. However, we had booked a deluxe room. Also, no view of the mountain or the river. We had booked 6 nights, but after seeing it on site, we canceled our reservation, paying for one night without staying there. Beware of scams, the description of this hotel should be verified.

Small intimate hotel. Kind, responsive owner. Good breakfast, there is a swimming pool where you can cool off after excursions and the heat! Many good cafes and bars within walking distance of 5-10 minutes.

This hotel has its shortcomings and advantages. Overall, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. It's just that I was unlucky during my stay and a lot of things happened, so I can't say I was very happy. But objectively speaking, because the room I booked is at the corner of the second floor, the view is really good. When the window is opened, you can see a good view. And most of the time there is someone at the front desk, so as long as you communicate in English, you can get help easily. Breakfast is relatively simple and easy to overeat, but it is quite delicious. The disadvantage of course is that if you can't communicate in English, many of the services here will be of little use to you. In other words, the toilet door is a bit difficult to open and close, and it is easy to get stuck. I don't know why it has not been repaired. Also, I was bitten by unknown insects such as fleas. My arms were very dense and itchy. They were not healed until I left Laos. I wonder if the environment is too natural.

The hotel and the room are very clean and bright. Everything you need is available. Hot water is at the front desk. The breakfast is simple and delicious. It’s just that the boss answered most of the questions he asked with a gentle smile and didn’t know 🤷. Definitely worth the money.

This hotel is conveniently located for all the night life and yet it’s not noisy allowing for a good sleep The rooms are clean and comfortable with air conditioning and good showers The included breakfast is very nice It has a small swimming pool which is nice to relax by Best of all, the manager (Tommy) speaks good English and is incredibly helpful- even managing to secure train tickets for our onward journey when every site showed no availability This hotel has recently changed its name and still has the old signs up!

We thought this is the best hotel in Vang Vieng center . We could have all thing we needed for our trip in Vang Vieng . Helpful staff arranged train ticket to Luang Prabang , reserved hot air balloon, moped and fuk Tuk to Bluelagoon 3 . Room is so clean and well ordered. The swimming is the best part of the hotel . So so clean and fresh . Generally, we were pleased and highly recommended. Thank you for making our trip perfect there , Tommy .
