Reviews of Namale Resort & Spa – All Inclusive

What can we say except vinaka for one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! We visited Namale for our 4 year anniversary and it was one of the best trips we've ever taken (which is saying a lot as we've visited over 30 countries and stayed in many different hostels, hotels, and resorts). What really struck us about Namale, and Fiji in general, is how happy and relaxed everyone is. Every single person was so kind and exceptionally polite. But it all felt so genuine and not anything like the thin veneer of fake kindness many in the hospitality industry are forced to adopt to deal with their often less than kind guests. By our second day at Namale all the front of house staff knew our names and were learning about our food and activity preferences. By the end of our week-long stay we were swapping small gifts with staff and getting their social media accounts so we could keep in touch. We have never felt so welcome at a vacation destination in our lives! We went into our vacation wanting to try as many features of the resort as possible and we were not disappointed. We tried every complimentary excursion offered by Namale to include a gorgeous waterfall picnic and hike, a farm tour (absolutely recommend this as you get to see where and how a good part of the resort’s produce is grown and you get to taste a lot of it!), reef walks, a private dinner in a sea cave, and a visit to feed the resort’s horses. We also went scuba diving and snorkeling with the resort’s awesome dive staff. Many of the events focused on a specific aspect of Fijian life and culture, such as the nightly performances by local villagers and hotel staff, cava ceremonies, and an entire class about the myriad uses of coconuts. The staff were eager to not only teach us about Fijian culture and tradition, but they openly welcomed us to participate in these activities! Every staff member who interacted with us was exceptionally kind and knowledgeable and we appreciated every second we spent learning more about Fiji and its people. Every excursion and event was well-crafted and often included curated picnics or snacks too! Speaking of food, the resort boasted a very talented culinary team. We were never disappointed by a meal and always found ourselves looking forward to our next one! The menus featured many staples of elevated takes on traditional western (mainly British and American) cuisine as well as plenty of dishes inspired by the many different peoples who inhabit Fiji. Indian curries and roti shared the menu along side traditional Fijian seafood and vegetable dishes that rotated daily, representing the diverse culinary scene of Fiji. Every building was well-stocked with soft-drinks, beer, water, and snacks, and hand-delivered treats were always just a quick phone call away. The bars were well stocked and the bartenders knowledgeable and creative. Even though this is really a couples paradise we were accommodated and the staff was phenomenal. Never have met such truly nice people. They go well beyond to give everything you need, every where you go on the property. 7 days was not long enough to do everything they offer. Scuba, salt water river drift, spa, meals-every thing was excellent. This property is set up for you to do as much or as little as you like! Will see you again, but for a longer stay! Thanks, Ken

We have recently returned from 5 days in beautiful Namale Resort. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Every single activity, meal, and staff member was superb. Everyone there immediately made us feel welcome and ensured that our stay would be perfect starting with remembering our names and using them! Just lovely, delightful people. We couldn’t have felt more spoiled. The rooms were so nice and absolutely spotless and cleaned thoroughly daily and towels changed even at night when they did turn down service. Whatever we wanted or needed was provided immediately and with a smile. The nightly entertainment was also a highlight, especially the darling children and adults from the local village. Just delightful. Our sandbar picnic and snorkel was lots of fun, in spite of the windy day. As was our sunset cocktail and snacks and our special good bye breakfast at lover’s point. My husband and I stayed at Namale for our honeymoon August 1-9 (Stephen & Gina)! We will never forget how wonderful and kind the staff at Namale is; everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The resort is beautiful, like a botanic garden and the food is so delicious. My favorite part was the snorkeling/sand bar excursion, the spa, and the romantic dinner locations they reserved for us to make our honeymoon special. The hospitality staff made sure the rooms were clean, and we loved the personal touches and messages the staff left each day. We are already missing the culture, the daily "Bula Bula!" greetings, and the sound of the ocean at the restaurants. We hope to be back for an anniversary trip one day. Highly recommended. Large well landscaped grounds, we did enjoy riding around in the bula-carts. The staff were very friendly; the food and wine were excellent. Our room was very large, comfortable and with a super view. The diving was well organised with good equipment, the boat large and comfortable. Our favourite dive was Golden Nugget. The diving was all early morning; next time we go we'll try to arrange to go later.

Our whole experience can be summed up in this one sentence: This visit to Namale was our second time going in 3 years. We absolutely love 1) the people-Namale staff are the warmest, friendliest, kindest people 2) the FOOD - we tried some of everything the award-winning chefs made!! 3) the lavish accommodations- the bures are a/c’d, spacious, gorgeous bathrooms, and comfy beds

My wife and I went to Namale Resort and Spa last week for six nights for some R&R. The resort is spectacular and laid back. Every staff member is very friendly and helpful and gives you anything you want. Everything we had to eat even room service was delicious and very well prepared. Did not have anything we didn't like. We had a private deck with a pool that over looked the ocean. We highly recommend Namale. Want to give a shout out to Chris Keefe. He was very helpful and responsive to help with our reservation and flights to Fiji in order to arrive on time. Oni and Kevin in the main dining room were awesome. We highly recommend a trip or two to the spa. Mere and Dee were great for our couples massage. Very happy we went to Namale and we highly recommend it. Great location and value.

Absolutely brilliant! It’s hard to know where to start, the myriad of activities, the lovely staff, the amazing food, the amazing views…all of it is just...Namale! We spent 7 nights across Christmas and New Years Eve on our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time. It’s hard to say what we enjoyed most which is why we’ll coming back.

We jut spent 10 wonderful days at Namale. This was our second trip, the first was 12 years ago and it was exactly the same 5 star experience. The bure's have been updated and are even more stunning than they were. The grounds are immaculate and sprawl over many acres. The food was delicious with lots of choices, even with our longer stay. The cocktails and wine are excellent quality and free flowing and Kevin and Errol are amazing at creating new and delightful cocktails each day. All the staff at Namale are so friendly, you feel like you are part of the family. The restaurant staff in particular I wanted to take home with us. Millie and Philo were like mothers to us. The water visibilty wasn't fantastic, but expected for this time of year. We went on the snorkel trip each day and enjoyed spectacular corals and lots of small colourful reef fish. There was absolutely nothing to complain about and we would highly recommend Namale. Just spend the extra and get the best bure that you can afford, you will not be disappointed and may not want to leave it!

We returned to Namale for our ten year anniversary after going there for our honeymoon. Staff was attentive and nice as expected. Food was delicious, drinks were fantastic, and the weather was cooperative. The Honeymoon Bure was amazing and worth the upgrade. Would highly recommend this resort a little off the beaten path!

This was the best experience of my lifetime and my wife's lifetime. We were given the best service of our lifetimes. The food we ate was ALWAYS FRESH, and they have a professional chef creating outstanding dishes. You have NEVER had good lobster until you go here. Once you eat a Lobster Tail from Namale, you will never consider it from another restaurant again. It is a peaceful place. The workers at Namale will make you feel at home. The location is amazing. You will be surrounded by the ocean. We will definitely come back to Fiji because of this experience. Like I said, one of the best experiences of my life. Incredible value. If you don't go to Namale, you are missing out on life.

Namale wins the resort analysis. Larger, more appointed villa (Civa Bure Oceanside where we stayed) and way more private; better food selections (4-course varies daily); personalized and more elegant 5-star restaurant dining (not as “beachy” - that could be considered differently); your own private pool (all bures/villas have them); in-room TV with Netflix/ApplePrime in our villa (but not all have it but we are comparing Vanu Point to Civa); simikar activities (snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, with a lovely and long salt water drift that is not available at Turtle Island); BUT no private beaches (Turtle Island definitely does win there with their 15 very private beaches within easy reach). Namale Resort and Spa is likely the BEST Spa in the Fiji Islands (of-course we’ve only experienced two) with a small waterfall, 5 hydro therapy baths, more treatment varieties (including 4-hands and others) and blissful add-ons, wide open doors to the Pacific Ocean views and sounds of the larger ocean waves, and a very expansive facility. Wonderful staff entertainment at Namale and Turtle Island. Kava is a small group unlike the 50-60 staff participating and immersing you in their evening shows.

Just back from a week at Namale. Loved it! Beautiful grounds, great food, lots of fun activities. Spa is beautiful and I got pampered. Our room was gorgeous and cleaned twice a day. Mini bar always stocked. Spent a lot of time on the veranda looking at the ocean. Got a taste of the local culture . Fiji is absolutely beautiful. Hot, but that was expected. Can’t say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff were. Lovely people all. We booked through Costco travel, which I think was a good deal. All inclusive except a couple of excursions (off site waterfall and sandbar picnic) which were well worth the extra expense. A long way to go, but well worth it.

This is 100% the place to be if youre planning on getting away for a minute. They are the kindest, most attentive and loving people we have ever met. From beginning to end, they made us feel right at home♡ We highly recommend staying at this location!
