I think there was a problem with linen in my room especially the pillow case. I’ve worked as a cleaner at 4,5 star hotels, so I can tell when the sheet or pillow case has not been freshly cleaned or been stocked for a long time.
Though bed sheet and pillow case didn’t feel fresh, I was fine. But, due to the poor condition of pillow case which I guess very dusty or slightly moldy, I had an allergic reaction on my eyes. Every morning or the time I was lying down on the pillow, my eye got swollen a bit.
That was also fine by me as I usually am quite easy, but what bugs me is the attitude and response of a staff at reception, his first response was it must be because of rain getting onto my eyes, which is not, then how come my eyes get swollen and irritated in the morning?
Anyhow, even worse, after that. There was no sorry or anything. As someone who previously had worked at hotel, I am trying to be lenient and kind towards the people in hospitality industry, but I don’t find this good. You can make mistake but just say sorry for any inconveniences you caused rather than accusing the customer for your fault.
Other than that incident. It was fine and other staffs are friendly and helpful in general.
