My recent stay at Ramada Plaza by Wyndham JHV Varanasi was quite disappointing, especially considering the brand standards one expects.
The reception and housekeeping services were not up to standard. On multiple occasions we requested room cleaning, but the response was very poor. When the room was finally cleaned, the housekeeping staff member appeared unkempt and had a strong unpleasant odor, which made the experience uncomfortable. After cleaning, he repeatedly asked for tips, which felt inappropriate for a hotel of this category.
Basic room amenities were also not maintained. Face towels were provided only on the first day, and for the next three days they were never replaced despite requests. Items such as tea bags, milk sachets, soap, and shampoo were not replenished once they were finished. Eventually, we had to buy bathing soap from a nearby supermarket, which should never be necessary when staying in an international hotel brand.
Additionally, the restaurant food prices were quite high compared to the quality and standard of the food served, which was disappointing.
Overall, the stay did not meet the expectations associated with the Ramada brand, and I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves their service standards.
