Took a bit of finding in the alleys but once here great. Very friendly welcome. Good English. Not posh but value for money . Other backpackers to share stories with. Good simple food . Relaxing roof top with distant views to Ganges. Great location to explore from. Last but not least , lovely to be able to help with the children schooling project 4-6pm everyday except Sunday. Highly recommend this place! And all the services! 🙏 Somit and family made me feel so much at home! The work they’re doing for the kids is amazing. I have so much respect. Definitely take some time to volunteer as well to meet the kids;). I’ve also done a few yoga sessions with somit and his knowledge and guidance are great! Location is amazing because of all the people you meet and the cutest shops and places you see on the way. Close to everything as well! Thanks so much guys! You’ll see me again! Om Shanti Om

Luxury with near the Ganga side room is clean and owner is helpful and kind Location is great and want to recommend everyone come here and ask For best room I was here with my friend in dormitories room with air-con Air conditioning room was super cold and good when blackout fan was working here In our next trip will come back here .,,,

Staying at Somit guest house has been such a wonderful experience at Varanasi... this is not just a regulat guest house, here you get the opportunity to help kids from the streets or from poor families, a project very personal and dear to the host, Somit. Even if you cannot or do not want to volunteer, the money that you spend staying here still supports the classes for the kids. Good karma all around! Somit, a very good soul with a golden, open heart, is a also well of knowledge, spanning across reiki, astrology, yoga, and many more, and is very ready to share his practice with anyone interested in learning or receiving. His family is extremely welcoming and accommodating, they made me feel at home, as part of the family! His mom, Gita, is a wonderful cook (ask for the Palak Paneer and ayurveda tea!). I really really recommend staying here, as this is not just a normal guest house; here you experience the spiritual practice of serving others ***** with receiving warmth and love at the same time from Somit and his family.

Absolutely amazing experience living here, the owner is the most genuine and helpful person I met in Varanasi. The place is more than a guest house, they have yoga classes, astrology classes, experts in traditional lore - and I also got the opportunity to visit the Vishwanath Mandir like very few people do by courtesy of the owner. Definately staying here again when I come back to this holy city again

Nice hostel, doing great work to educate less privileged children in the community. Got the opportunity to help out in the classroom and Somit was super useful in helping to book our onwards train when they all seemed booked. Overall great stay would recommend
