Hotel Hari Vilaas

A wanna-be-good hotel with some flaws. All in all, everything but the room/housekeeping was great. The room and housekeeping had issues. The good: Security at the entrance. Friendly staff. On-site restaurant with a lot of reasonably priced food options. Hygiene standards seem to be good, I had no problems after my dinner there. WiFi is stable. Hot water is available 24/7, no shortage. The bad: unpleasant duvet cover with lint that needs to be retired ASAP. Toilet paper roll was dirty and wet when I arrived. Housekeeping quality is below the norm: took my dirty towels, but didn't bring new ones. I had to go to reception to ask to fix that. Shower gel/shampoo (in individual containers) wasn't replenished. Bad state of the tap (spills water on you). Shower has no curtain which results into all the bathroom being wet. No fridge. However, I'd rather say that by Varanasi standards it is still good value for money. Just be prepared.

Good place to stay

Really excellent three day stay here in November 2025. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room and lovely food in the restaurant. Location was convenient, too: the Ganges was either a 20/25 minute walk or 5/10 minutes by tuktuk. Would certainly recommend.

Menu prices too healthy food quality too weak comparatively. Had dinner with family, soup and starter were serve cold and tasteless. HotnSour Soup full of garlic and ginger, they should have named it - Ginger Garlic HotnSour. Paneer Tikka too blunt without any taste despite of asking it to be spicy. Staff requires training, how to handle or speak to guest. Should not have posted review if anybody have spoken or discussed about the issues. Will wait to see how the management responding to this feedback. Their food is very famous but was totally disappointed on this kind of quality.

Hotel Hari Vilas is located near Kashi Viswanath Temple. Rooms are large, wide range of foods in reasonable prices and excellent service made our day. Thanks Hari Vilas Hotel and Make my Trip.

Nice and good property. Food was nice but slow food Service and location was little interior from the main road. But overall services were good . But main point and air conditioner were not working properly
