Dimora del Prete di Belmonte

I don’t think words can truly capture how wonderful this property is. Dimora del Prete di Belmonte is not only beautiful and historic, but also filled with warmth and incredible hospitality. The staff are attentive, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Angela, who greeted us, always had a smile and made us feel right at home. She was full of helpful information and even directed us to an AMAZING restaurant for dinner — it turned out to be one of the most unforgettable meals of our trip. (Be sure to ask her for the name — you won’t regret it!) Dorothy, the property owner, was equally incredible. She went above and beyond to help us, from answering every question to arranging two 8-passenger vans so our group of 15 could easily explore the surrounding area. The property itself feels magical. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and full of charm, with breathtaking views that were a joy to wake up to each morning. The resident dogs added such a sweet and personal touch — we absolutely adored them. Venafro itself is a lovely town. We stayed for five nights, exploring nearby areas during the day, but also found plenty to enjoy right there. Just note that restaurants and shops can have limited hours, so a little planning goes a long way. I cannot recommend Dimora del Prete di Belmonte highly enough. It’s the kind of place that leaves you with lasting memories — and I know anyone who stays here will love it as much as we did!

Amazing old palazzo in a beautiful rustic medieval hilltop village. The owner, Dorothy is very warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast!

A real palace in the Italian countryside Venafro is a special place! Close to Cassino, exceedingly tranquil and definitely not overrun by tourists. Dimora del Prete is a beautiful and well preserved palace with historical significance but with modern touches and amenities. During our stay we felt well taken care of with a yummy and elegantly set out breakfast. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and special. Our host, Angela, appeared out of nowhere with her perfect English and eagerness to assist us in just about everything from parking our car to finding a perfect gift for our son. The tour of the opulent palace that she gave us was an unexpected bonus and made us delve into 18-19th century Italian history. In sum, our stay was outstanding and we’re very glad that our Italian trip included Dimora del Prete and Venafro.

Well worth a stay here in the historical quarter of Venafro. We stayed 3 nights . The owner and staff were very welcoming and helped us greatly with recommendations and bookings within the area including a guided tour of this fascinating historical building .

Do not think twice about this Palace

The team at Dimora welcomed us with open arms and provided a comfortable and cozy place for our family while we were visiting the area. The breakfast helped make our day easier, traveling with a little one. The historical building was a beautiful location to stay. Close to many restaurants, bars, cafes and shops - all walkable. The hosts take great pride in the building, were willing to share their knowledge with us. there was even a full write up in our room. We were able to park close by.

What a beautiful place! It is old, to be sure, but has so much history! We were taken on a tour of the mansion, and it is like a museum! The murals on the walls and ceilings are spectacular. We had a delicious breakfast, in a beautiful room. We were in Venafro to go to the WinterLine WWII museum, which was also a tremendous experience!

We stayed in this city palace for 3 nights and I wish we could have stayed longer ! It is a beautiful old noble abode with lovely antique furniture and an absolutely gorgeous breakfast room with Pompeiian style frescoes. Nice rooms, very clean, my son and his girlfriend had the terrace room with a beautiful view. The airconditioning works very well. Good breakfast, central but quiet location, excellent service. Highly recommended !

We loved the breakfast with warm croissants and homemade cherry jam. The ambience in the palazzo was charming and our host Dorothy was welcoming. We loved our private terrace next to the bell towers. We love Venafro. And don't miss Luciano's Winterline Museum.
