Palazzo Dei Fiori by Room Mate

Venice City Center Venice|0.43km from Grand Canal
Palazzo dei Fiori is a remarkable find! So pleased we chose it: we could not have had a better stay. Newly opened, the beautifully refurbished and decorated palazzo is in a great location and has HUGE rooms. It's the first time we have chosen an apartment in Venice rather than a hotel room and it makes such a difference! We've always liked Room Mate but this time they have really created something special. The palazzo is a perfect combination of old and modern, and the funky furnishings by Teresa Sapey make a very pleasant change from the baroque and rococco overload you'll get everywhere else. There's a well equipped small kitchen, which is great for breakfast or a light supper. Super comfortable bed and bedding; lovely bright bathrooms with fluffy towels. The apartments are cleaned every other day, which is a great joy when self catering. Nice views from the upper floors. On the other side of the canal is the Benedetto Marcello Conservatoire of Music, so open your windows in the daytime and you may hear some heavenly music drifting by, which adds to the atmosphere. We were really lucky to be upgraded to the Faggio apartment - 2000 sq ft with a wonderful terrace. So much nicer to come home after an exhausting day sightseeing to a proper sized flat than a tiny hotel room...and all for the same price! Marco the manager is charming, as is concierge Gianluca, and all staff are really helpful with tips for local restaurants and bars. We will definitely return! Le Café, just round the corner on Campo Santo Stefano, is great for breakfast and the Tavernetta San Maurizio in the opposite direction serves delicious local food in the evenings. But for great lunches try the cafe in the Museo Correr: quiet, the best view of St Mark's Square imaginible, charming wall murals and normal prices! You don't need to go into the museum, though you do need to go through security.

Granda Sweet Suites

From the bottom of my heart, please do not waste your money on this place. Look somewhere else. We are a family with a ten year old and 6 month old baby. Entry - pretty straight forward for us, we had a text message with instructions. Once we were in - the living area had a sofa that was pulled out into a bed for us. That’s fine. But there’s then no living area. Or room to swing a cat. Bathroom, there was mould in the shower. The most ridiculous cups for your coffee that also takes 6 years to pour. There’s no cleaning facilities like a sweeping brush so your constantly walking over natural dirt that’s been brought in from outside and having to wipe your feet before getting into bed. No cot was given to us even though one was requested through booking.com. We had high hopes from other reviews that the communication was good, however, I messaged to ask for more cups and an iron but we were left on two blue ticks on WhatsApp. Messaged for help with getting to the airport at 2am - no response. Actually they were pretty rude when they did reply. No one was seen to help us anywhere. The view was stunning once you got into the communal area, that was probably the only highlight. And that it’s right next to the waterbus stop Please spend your money on a better place so that you have a nicer experience of Venice because this place has really ruined a family trip for us.

It was an awful experience ! I have stayed to more than 600 hotels in my life and it’s the first time, I meet people that own a hotel but know nothing about hospitality and customer service!I made the reservation&sent them email informing them that I would be at the hotel late at night.I send also my flight details&my exact time of arrival .When I arrived at the hotel the first thing that the receptionist told me(later I found out that this guy was one of the owners)is that we were really late and he was waiting for us 4 hours as the reception closes 22:30.He was really hostile, arrogant and upset! It’s the first time in my life that I felt so bad in a hotel! The room was dark with no view. It was a small room ( about 20m2 ),whereas we had booked the superior room of 30m2.Generally it was an old fashioned room, with moldy smell , with no elevator so we had to carry our 2 heavy luggage 2 floors up.In our3days stay we found out that all family was rather indifferent & rude with customers !At the check out they asked us to pay 50€as an extra charge as the brother of the owner had to stay 4 hours waiting for us !!The brother which is one of the owners(not an employee!)When we denied,as we were never informed about this extra charge or never was written at the extranet of Expedia, they started yelling&insulting us so we were forced to pay as we were afraid they would harm us- all family came and yelling!Too bad that those people work in the tourist sector and have no idea of what hospitality&caring mean!! If you have stayed in professional and luxury hotels you will find out that people that work in this hotel , it would be better to work in field rather than in a hotel as there are not educated at all . The room was small , old fashioned and had a moldy smell . We paid 350€ per night for a shabby place ! Please do not go and stay there . You will lose your money

I really like the location of the hotel, 900 meters from the train station, and got off the train for 10 minutes. There are a few nice little streets nearby, you can stroll around, a distance from a university, and San Vidal with Vivaldi violin. The ”Four Seasons” is the highlight of our trip at 9pm. The breakfast was quite satisfactory and quite complete. The exterior of the hotel is well decorated and I really like the courtyard of the hotel. It is quiet and tasteful, and it is very pleasant to sit in the courtyard at night. Our room is not too big, new decoration, but too dazzling and too modern, shining everywhere. The bathroom and the bathroom are all glass doors, and what is inside is clear. It is suitable for couples. The attitude at the front desk is good, but the sales atmosphere is too heavy and the service attitude is insufficient. When I checked in, I tried to recommend a restaurant. I ran off my leg and found a corner. I waited a long time to open the door, and the food was not what we expected. Later, I checked it out and it turned out to be a special restaurant of the Gluten-free.

1. A few Samsung air-conditioned hotels in Venice 2. From the St.Toma Pier, take a 5th-order small stone bridge to the hotel, 5 minutes up to 3. Sprinkles can be taken down and the bathroom is large. The hotel is very sweet! ! ! 4. There is a small refrigerator with iced fruit drinks 5. Breakfast is delicious, and there are local dessert queues near the corner of the church of Pantron. 6. There is a Conad supermarket nearby, very convenient ~

Hotel is located in a great part of Venice, 10min of slow walk to the center, great restaurant right across the street. We've booked a room for 3 nights with breakfast which was satisfying with lots of pastries and local food although there was no vegetables or fruit. I recommend this hotel due to its price and value ratio. Our room was in Pantalon hotel, we needed late check in and staff was extremely helpful and kind, thanks to Emilia! Our stay was very pleasant. Keep in mind that when it's cold outside you need to close the window covers
Ca' San Polo

The San Polo is not really a hotel, I would call-it a Guest House with a small 'reception' on the 2nd floor in a tiny, typical Venice building with lots of stairs managed by friendly people! The location is perfect for travellers arriving by train (15 minutes walk) and also close enough to the 'Ponte di Rialto' and the 'Ponte dell' Accademia', which is quite important in Venice, but you will find-it out by yourself. And: Follow the ”dont's” for Venice: Don't travel with heavy lugagge. We booked the junior suite (decent price), which was on the 3rd floor, were also the breakfast is served. The room is extra spacious, with a king size bed, an extra bed and a sofa, TV etc. It has a, lets called-it 'Venetian- Chic' and was clean (for allergic people: Carpet on the floor). The bed was super comfortable (we like it more on the hard side). Also the toilet is spacious, equipped with everything you need (lots of towels available) and housekepping cleaned every day. For breakfast scrumbbeled eggs and/or a ham, salami & cheese plate is served on demand, for the sweets lovers, there is pastery and freshly made cake availble, the coffee comes from the coffeemachine. As said it is simple and you will certaily not get a 'room with a view' for that price/location in Venice, but it works perfectly for a 2-3 nights trip to Venice!
